IT Product Manager – DW/BI/Internet January 2007 – April 2009

IT Senior Project Manager

Managed a $4 million Data Warehouse project based on a Teradata Database with a Cognos Business

Intelligence toolset. This included all aspects of the project: visioning, vendor selection, project management

and the gathering of business requirements from the business owners. Delivered a solution that integrated

the Gaming, Hotel, Retail and Food and Beverage business in one environment, providing a single view of

the player and allowing business intelligence to grow within Wynn Las Vegas.

Accountable for delivering the IT aspects of a new Web Booking Engine to allow guests to have a

consolidated user experience in room, restaurant and show reservations in addition to eliminating third party

transaction fees.

Responsible for managing the Wynn’s Retail department IT preparedness for the Wynn Encore opening

which includes project management, system configuration, site reviews, hardware deployment and upgrade

of the retail system in preparation for nearly doubling the number of outlets.

Managed the implementation of a Microsoft SharePoint environment along with implementing a custom

application with workflow to replace a third party hosted solution to archive Employee Stories which helped to

boost employee morale and promote the employee of the month program.

Responsible for managing vendor relationships for all Wynn Las Vegas websites including hosting,

monitoring and application acceleration.

Created requirements and managed the development of three SQL 2005 data marts for individual business

areas of Hotel, Gaming and Retail to allow the business to analyze their data in a Cognos environment.

Managed the implementation of multiple projects for the user community that involved the entire life cycle

from design to training and deployment: Wireless Ticket Redemption, Wireless Poker and Guest Relations

software.

Responsible for fulfilling all IRS special requests for Title 31, Taxation Audits and was the resident IT expert

on all Sarbanes-Oxley and Nevada Gaming Regulations.

Wynn Resorts, Las Vegas, NV

Internal Audit IT Manager September 2004 – January 2007

Member of the $2.7 billion Wynn Las Vegas opening team and performed all aspects of creating an IT Audit

function for Wynn Resorts, Wynn Las Vegas and Wynn Macau.

Created the Sarbanes-Oxley IT Internal Control Matrix and assisted process areas in identifying automated

controls for Wynn Las Vegas and Wynn Macau.

Managed the IT portion of the Sarbanes-Oxley project and maintained the relationship between IT and the

auditors for both Wynn Las Vegas and Wynn Macau.

Developed and performed Sarbanes-Oxley IT testing for Wynn Las Vegas application and general computer

controls and trained Wynn Macau personnel on these Sarbanes-Oxley testing procedures.

Performed special projects, identified by the CFO, including identifying non-existent paid employees,

confirming proper slot point reconciliation, invoice approval review and an independent review of the IT

implementation status for opening.

Assisted with the development of Sarbanes-Oxley Control Objectives and Control Activities by performing

tests of controls for multiple business cycles, reviewing documentation for quality assurance and assisting in

overall project management.

Assisted a Central California casino with the implementation of an IGT (previously Acres Gaming) ticket

in/ticket out solution which included creating training documentation, training approximately 500 personnel,

and managing the creation of new procedures to ensure compliance with the internal controls.

Developed a Data Warehouse strategy for a Mid-Western casino to increase the casino’s marketing ability

and provide total customer value information.

Conducted an IT Review and Assessment for a Central California casino by assessing their current

capabilities, analyzing the skills that would be needed with the estimated future growth, determining the gap

between existing and needed skills and providing recommendations to eliminate the gaps.

Performed and delivered a “quick hit assessment” to help a large mid-western, multi-property gaming

operator assess their operating environment and identify areas where improvements could be implemented.

Developed an Electronic Document Management strategy for a Mid-Western casino to increase the

effectiveness of the daily casino audit, eliminate storage requirements and improve the Title 31 filing process.

Supported IGT (previously Acres Gaming) by providing training and floor support during multiple

Cage/Credit/Table Game installations.

Assisted a multi-property Mid-Western casino with the implementation of a Bally’s SDS / Casino Marketplace

casino management system (CMS), created the data conversion plan to ensure data quality and proper data

mapping, developed training documentation for over 1200 users and performed system audits to ensure data

accuracy.

Implemented the extraction, transformation and loading process in a large data warehouse environment for a

multi-property gaming company. This process created and applied rules to increase data integrity and

transformed the data to a companywide standard format to be used within the data warehouse.

Implemented a slot accounting and casino management system and ensured that all system requirements

were met, personnel were properly trained and communication errors between slot machines and data

collection units were resolved.

Co-developed a Siebel prototype for the gaming and hospitality industries in addition to configuring the

Siebel Marketing module for a multi-property gaming company to enhance their direct marketing campaign

efforts.
