Ecommerce QA Technical Lead/Data Acquisition Specialist (2005 to 2009)

Managed project that reduced backlog of requests in data acquisition department. Developed process that enabled QA

functional testers and automation testers to acquire qualified data for their test scripts. Worked with DBA to create 11

database schemas and with data team to map thousands of elements, extract, and transmit data to be imported. Over 1.8

million rows of data loaded. Worked with team to create SQL queries. Project was so successful it is being use bank wide

by QA teams supporting other groups and product lines.

Created a team to manage test data needed to unit test modifications and certify wamu.com software releases. Team wrote

programs to qualify data, generating reports identifying which customers would satisfy the test data

requirements. Resulted in fewer defects when releases went into production, lower frustration and confusion when

troubleshooting problems because the test data used was not causing the problem.

Increased open communication and mutual respect between mainframe and dot com teams by assisting with problem

resolution. Used troubleshooting process to determine root cause of the problem. Teams resolved problems more quickly

and effectively.

Increased knowledge for wamu.com team members by creating workshops and conducted training on mainframe 3270

application screens for viewing various applications customer data, mainframe log files, error handling, and MQ message

structures. Created how to documentation to use for reference.

Ecommerce Project Manager/Lead Technical Analyst (2004 to 2005)

Implemented project which enabled customers to view their checking/savings account statements online and opt out of

receiving paper copies. Worked with multiple teams to get the statements loaded online and processes in place for

loading in future statements and notifying customers when statements were ready for viewing online. Saved the bank

millions of dollars each year for the bank in printing and postage costs.

Increased efficiency of quarterly software releases for Retail Banking systems. Minimized defects as a result of

implementing two test regions that mimicked production to use for certifying changes.

environments and more than 3,000 jobs run daily at two processing sites integrating with different infrastructures..

Managed project that decreased Bank’s vulnerability to fraud and assisted with early detection of possible fraud schemes by

implementing new fraud detection and loss prevention software quickly to reduce losses.

Implemented new retail banking products to support new bank acquisitions. Worked with the business teams to estimate

and implement changes for new personal and small business retail products .

First level support for 24 hour on call coverage for retail banking systems. Quickly resolved problems so branches were

fully operational when open and customers accounts were up to date. .
