Managed all plant maintenance employees / functions and plant engineering functions for the facility. Reported to the Plant

Manager.

• Managed 4 maintenance foremen, 1 planner scheduler and 45 craftsmen.

• Prepared and managed $1,000,000 major maintenance, and $4,000,000 maintenance department budgets per year.

• Reduced HVAC cost by $50,000 realigning the P. M. schedule and implementing a new reporting procedure.

• Reduced water treatment costs by $80,000 per year by system modifications and price negotiation.

• Reduced downtime on 10 pieces of equipment by 3% to 5% as a member of the TPM Steering Committee.

maintenance budgets of $5,500,000 per year.

• Instituted a computerized maintenance work order system

• Collaborated with a consulting engineering company on the design of a $1,800,000 vacuum degassing cooling water

treatment plant, bid, contracted, and managed the building of the plant. This project reduced water consumption by

75%.

• Supervised the installation and upgrades of several pieces of equipment.

Facilities Manager, American Welding and Mfg., Warren, OH (6/91-6/93)

Managed all plant engineering functions, production drafting and maintenance employees, and the environmental program. This

• Participated in the selection and purchase of 4 CNC machining centers and supervised their installation and start-up.

Plant Engineer, Ellwood City Forge Inc., Ellwood City, PA (1985 to 6/91)

Managed all plant engineering functions, maintenance employees, and the environmental program. This position reported to the

Vice President of Operations.

• Supervised 1 additional engineer, 1 draftsman, and 40 maintenance employees.

• Prepared and managed $2,000,000 capital, $200,000 engineering department, and $3,000,000 maintenance department

budgets per year.

• Saved $275,000 per year by reducing natural gas consumption on three 100-ton car bottom forging furnaces from 1300

MCF per week to 800 MCF per week.

• Instituted a computerized maintenance work order system

• Established an electronics group that more than paid for itself in reduced repair cost and down time.

• Collaborated in the formation of a heat treat furnace testing and certification program.

• Presented a paper on Twinbed burner systems efficiency at an FIA meeting.
