As a senior level Proposal Manager, I designed strategies and implemented processes to increase contract

SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Reducing quote lead time. Sales representatives at Timken were wasting time due to unclear direction on how to

seek quotes for new projects. Designed a decision tree providing if/then statements to guide sales through proper

channels. Reduced quote lead time by 20%, increasing customer satisfaction with timely proposal turn around.

Increasing new business win ratio. Suntron was generating proposals at higher price points and losing business

due to disjointed internal information flow. Organized a cross-functional team to analyze quote process of each

department. Used Best Practices to create a uniform companywide system, increasing business win ratio by 20%

Meeting customer budget/delivery needs to secure sales. Project team at Suntron presented a bid to a “must-

win” client and was turned-down. Invited client into offices to re-work the quote to directly meet their budget and

delivery needs. Met client’s price without degrading profit margin, generating $100M of additional annual revenue.

Automating time-consuming processes. Complex bill of materials documents taking large amounts of time to be

entered into Oracle manually at Marconi Communications. Coordinated Engineering and IT to create a seamless

automated BOM entry system, freeing-up many hours of time and increasing information accuracy.

Quote Manager, The Timken Company, 2008 to 2009. A $5.5B manufacturer of bearings and alloy steel systems.

Refine quoting process, build customer support, and tracked margins.

Suntron Corporation, 2001 to 2008. A $320M vertically integrated electronics manufacturing services and solution

corporation, specializing in Aerospace, Defense, Industrial, Telecommunications and Medical Equipment market

segments. Promoted three times to positions of higher responsibility.

Director, Corporate Quote Services, 2006 to 2008. Centralized disjointed quote functions into one uniform

process. Standardized internal forms and documents across all divisions. Authorized final content on all new

business proposals for Mexico and the United States. Managed team of 16 and $2M budget.

Quotation Manager, 2005 to 2006. Managed teams of labor and material estimators and project managers to

compile competitive price quotes for new business while striving for increased profits. Led 12 direct reports.

Quote Project Manager, 2001 to 2005. Ensured proposal policies and procedures were being followed across

all departments. Assisted in delivery of new business quotes on time with an aggressive profit margin.
