Built effective purchasing, engineering, H/R and transportation functions with many new hires while
establishing a very hands on accounting system from scratch using Peachtree software.
Developed a series of integrated, Excel-based dashboard, cash flow forecasting and sales
analysis/reporting tools as well as budgeting, financial reporting and financial statement forecasting
models to effectively communicate results to a Dallas, TX private equity group and facilitate
planning, budgeting and cash needs.
Negotiated Private-Label manufacturing arrangement for export to Canada that resulted in an
immediate 18% annual revenue and income growth by utilizing excess plant production capacity.
Corporate Controller, 2005-2006 RV Manufacturing
Heartland Recreational Vehicles, LLC Elkhart, Indiana
Developed an efficient QuickBooks-based accounting system and coordinated the first full financial
audit while growing from a single plant, 90 employee operation to a four plant, 250 employee
company with 300% revenue growth in one year.
Refined an incentive-based payroll system that managed labor costs to budget and directly
processed weekly payroll for 250 employees using ADP software while also acting as the HR
manager.
Developed financial forecasting tools that were integral in negotiating several bank refinancings to
accommodate growing working capital needs and several major plant expansions and acquisitions.

Refined and expanded existing product costing standards which led to 33% increased market
share and profitability in the company’s core market and entry into two other market segments.

Successfully marketed and negotiated the terms of sale of this $20 million revenue Recreational
Vehicle manufacturer in late 2002 to a much larger competitor maximizing owner’s sales proceeds.
Negotiated a $4+ million property and business interruption insurance claim while rebuilding all
administrative systems and instrumental in rebuilding facility after fire destroyed the Company’s
main plant and corporate offices allowing Company to resume production within 100 days.
Specified and purchased all Company insurance policies - property, liability and employee plans.
Wrote and implemented Company employee policy and substance abuse manuals. Reported and
managed Workers’ Compensation injuries, employee right-to-know, confined space entry and other
MIOSHA initiatives. Maintained COBRA, FMLA, minimum wage and Fair Labor Act standards and
reporting. Designed, implemented and maintained a 401(k) retirement plan and the Company’s
self-insured health insurance plan, serving as Trustee of both plans.

revenues from $12M to $22M by reshaping its principal market.
Recommended and implemented a plant closure and liquidation including a 20% reduction in the
remaining operations overhead structure.
