MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS:
Lead project for new part delivery system for internal part delivery to one of the
Assembly lines which lead to a 2 process reduction cost savings of $200K a year, defect
reduction of 30%, injury reduction of 15% and a ROI of 3.5 years.
Investigated and countermeasured critical quality defect by negotiating new part design
with Toyota Designer which reduced defect by 90%.
Co-designed and implemented tooling to reduce ergonomic burden, improve quality and
improve process efficiency which is now used in 2 Assembly plant facilities.
Co-led new plant start up for Assembly in Texas that included designing and organizing
training which involved approx. 1500 Team Members between 3 Assembly shops that
helped lead to a JD Powers Silver Assembly Plant Award in Quality in 2008.
Reduced production volume change activity from 14 weeks to 7 weeks by implementing
improved systems and training for all Team Members which had minimal impact to
Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost Key Performance Indicators.
Designed and implemented Safety Issue follow-up database and systems to ensure
countermeasures were implemented and sustainable which reduced injuries in the shop
and reduced headcount in Safety Team.
