Position: Senior Product Development Engineer

Responsibilities:

Create Develop and Release Joint Strength Diagrams for new model of “All American”

School Bus (D3FE, D3RE), utilizing CATIA V5 software (3D and 2D) and PLM

database.

Responsible for Rivet, Weld and Bolted Joint Strength Certification.

Preparation of testing coupons for each Joint in compliance with FMVSS 221 Standard.

Design and develop Doors: SED (Side Emergency Door), ADA (Lift door for disabled

individuals)

Design and develop structural parts, such as, bows, floor panels, floor gussets,

inner/outer panels, air intake, parcel rack, etc.

Review Finite Elements Analysis results and follow up through prototype build

Coordinate design changes with the Manufacturing Engineering group.

Position: Product Engineer responsible for Welding of Body-in-White

Responsibilities:

Create Develop and Release weld/adhesive models, assemblies and sub-assemblies for new

product using CATIA V4 software and VPM (PLM) database.

Coordinate product design and assembly between Product Engineers, Process/Facility

Engineers and Suppliers.

Responsible for the welding design of a complete BIW vehicle including Underbody,

Upperbody and Closures (i.e. Hood, Decklid, Doors).

Work with internal design teams, suppliers and customers to provide process studies and

mockups

Providing assistance and technical information to Manufacturing and Product Managers

and personal.

Perform new product (hardware and software) testing.

Ensure product design meet the functional specifications and the company’s standards.

Evaluate supplier’s quality and compliance with standards and specifications using PPAP

(Production Part Approval Process).

Create weld support documentation in Microsoft Office Suite.

Participate in the weld certification processes and optimize weld schedules

Provided Engineering Support and follow up at the plant during prototype phase through

product launch.

Worked on Chrysler programs JA, JR, JX, LX, JS, and JC. On-site support and

implementation at Brampton (Canada), Sterling Heights (MI), and Toluca (Mexico).
