immediate steps to reduce operating costs of a $60 million foundry and machining

operation.

Initiated and lead project to convert waste from machining processes into

re-meltable briquettes replacing purchased scrap steel,-saving $1,600,000

annually.

Team leader of salaried cost savings team which identified several areas of

waste reduction with potential annual savings in excess of $500,000.

concrete mixers to fully Lean operational status. Accountable for all day-to-day

manufacturing operations and quality assurance initiatives.

Reduced 2 leading defect categories 95%-saving $432,000 annually-by

training first-line supervisors in problem solving methodologies.

Leveled the process flow on 4 assembly lines, reducing overtime by 10%

and saving $374,000 annually.

Formed and led a 14-person cross-functional operating team that set up an

exemplary assembly line as a fully developed Lean operation, achieving

a 30% increase in weekly unit (truck chassis) production.
