extremely challenging and fluid economic climate. Quickly ascertained situation and took
immediate steps to reduce operating costs of a $60 million foundry and machining
operation.
Initiated and lead project to convert waste from machining processes into
re-meltable briquettes replacing purchased scrap steel,-saving $1,600,000
annually.
Team leader of salaried cost savings team which identified several areas of
waste reduction with potential annual savings in excess of $500,000.
