SUMMARY
Results-oriented executive with 10 years of diverse experience as VP of Product / Solutions Development and
Management with a $17B multinational. A proven track record leading challenging, complex product and
business programs with the mission of driving strategic results. Significant exposure managing distributed
global organizations spanning the U.S., Europe and Asia with total value chain and P&L accountability.
Extensive, broad technical software and hardware background applicable to both IT and industrial segments.
Key recent accomplishments include:
New Product Development
• Spear-headed successful recovery and 2008 world wide launch of new Xerox Continuous Feed Digital
Press line. Overcame staffing shortfalls, budget constraints, and technical issues, along with complexity of
a foreign acquisition. Enabled market share growth from less than 10% to 30% in 2008.
• Managed 2008 delivery of breakthrough DC700 entry digital press, exceeding target sales by 30%.
• Overcame significant unexpected supplier field issues and budget reductions while managing on plan
delivery and launch of next generation light production monochrome, Xerox Engineering format and new
color graphic wide format printer family.
• Led the definition, development and delivery of the Nuvera production printer family of products whose
mission was to replace the very profitable Docutech and Docuprint lines. This program was initiated at the
height of the Xerox financial crisis with very aggressive goals. The first product was delivered in
benchmark time for its class, overcoming challenging budget, staffing and technical issues. This product
family empowered Xerox to hold the over 50% market share in this crucial segment.
• Led the planning, development and delivery of the next generation Xerox production workflow color
scanner. This product brought breakthrough performance capabilities via cutting edge image processing,
SW and sensor technologies. This product still has unmatched capabilities in the market.
Business Results
• Delivered $280M of production solutions revenue in 2008, representing year over year growth.
• Benchmark R&D productivity achieved in 2008, with a direct staff of 100 covering over 15 product
programs and leveraging strategic partners.
• In first half 2007, led definition of next generation Xerox product/GUI design and managed convergence
and consolidation of corporate PLM engineering tools set with a 50% staff productivity task.
• In response to addressing $1B COGS reduction challenge, defined a corporate gross margin roadmap in
2005 with traceability to bottom up site operating plans. This provided congruence with LSS efforts and
enabled strategic productivity decisions.
Organizational Change
• Introduced Open Innovation initiative to Xerox to leverage external intellectual property and drive
breakthrough time to market and R&D efficiency.
• Championed introduction of Design for Six Sigma and Creativity & Innovation training in 2007-2008
to drive quality, productivity and morale improvements in the organization.
