MRSA infection. Research involved drug development into an emulsion of penicillin conjugated

nanoparticles that improved antibacterial activity of penicillin against MRSA infection.

Internship at Vital Instrumentation PVT, Ltd., Jan 2007 – Jun 2007

Worked as an assistant engineer in the different stages of manufacturing process of perfusors

(volumetric infusion pumps- based on C-MOS circuitry). Built an infusion pump that could also be

used as a Testing equipment to test the pump, sensor, thumb wheel switch and the display device

used in an infusion pump.

Worked as a tutor at a High School Equivalency Program training students in a GED program in

Biomedical Engineering

• Project on “Advancement of NEMS Technology in Genomics”. A Report on recent

advancements in NEMS technology that apply in Genomics study and its applications.

• Project on “Implantable MEMS Sensor for Regulation of Dialysis Treatment”. Minimally

invasive MEMS ISFET potassium sensor based Research proposal closed loop continuous

monitoring of dialysis treatment.

• Project on “Excellence in Quality Management-Study and Analysis”. A Report on Quality

management at Bronson Methodist Hospital, a Malcolm Balridge National Quality Award

recipient.

• Project on "Design controls for an MRI Machine". Analysis of different design controls for a

Magnetic Resonance Imaging Scanner using traceability matrix and risk analysis on the design

using traceability matrix for the machine.

• Term papers on Johnson and Johnson, Centocor-J&J subsidiary and their product called

Remicade. Studied the various organizational procedures in marketing a new drug and the history

of the company Johnson and Johnson and Centocor. Studied a drug developed by the company,

Remicade, an autoimmune disorder treatment, and its manufacture by cloning and purification

techniques.

• Simulated delivery of drugs into the heart of an animal. The project involved controlling the

process of administration of drugs into the heart of a rat using LabView.

• Temporal and pattern-based analysis to identify normal and abnormal recordings of ECG signals.

The project involved both the recording of ECG signals and their analysis for diagnosis of

abnormalities or disorders.

• Recording of various physiological parameters like heartbeat rate, oxygen content in blood and

respiration rate (lung volume) using patient monitoring system comprising of Telemetry unit,

Oxymeter and Respiration meter.

Computer Science

• Statistical analysis of processes and their controls using SAS programming. Biostatistics for

analysis of processes involved in the design of the collection protocols for observational studies,

designed experiments, complex probability surveys, clinical trials, multi-site trials, longitudinal

studies, and quality control systems.

• Automation of Railway Reservation System using Java servlets. The back-end database system

used was MS-SQL.

• Automation of library maintenance system in C#. C# was used to both simulate the back-end and

front-end operations.

Electrical Engineering and Electronics

• Interfacing of D/A, A/D converters and display devices using micro processors and micro

controllers. Construction of a circuit using microprocessors and microcontrollers to organize and

control the process of traffic regulation in a junction of four routes.

• Study of circuit theories and their experimental verification. Construction of circuits and

experimental verification of various theories that apply to circuits.

• Design and testing of multiplexer circuit to organize transfer of signals and selective extraction

of both analog and digital signals.
