HIPPA 276/277 Inquiry Response System - Responsible for designing and developing the HIPPA
276/277 Inquiry Response System, conducted analysis of system requirements, design and testing.
Develop the system using VISIO, COBOL II,CICS, MQSeries, VSAM and Endevor/Greenhouse.
Provided technical support, monitored action items, maintained project databases. Worked with multi-
discipline teams interfacing with testing, evaluation, development, and system installation. Reviewed
and evaluated user guides and other training materials. Participated in the development of client
deliverables to include reviewing, editing, and preparing test documentation for the client.
Project Leader File Conversion_- Conducted system requirements, design and development for
integrating the New Mexico healthcare system onto the BCBS of ILL claim processing system. This was
successfully accomplished using COBOL IL CICS, VSAM and Panvalet. Consistently met stringent
deadlines for client deliverables.
Project Leader Millennium - Lead a team of consultants through conversion of all dates within the claim
processing system to Millennium compliance standards. Responsible for conducting five levels of
testing and documentation that spanned over two and half years. Industry tools COBOL II, CICS,
VSAM, Panvelet, Mldate and Journey were used or testing and editing both On-Line and Batch
applications.
Sr. Application Consultant, QUAKER OATS (1997)-(1997)
PeopleSoft Pension Software package - Responsible for learning the PeopleSoft Pension tables,
developing reports using PeopleSoft SQR, SQL, DB2 and referencing the PeopleSoft Client Server.
Required to work directly with Project Officers for developing report specifications and execution.
Technical Specialist, U.S. GYPSUM (1995)-(1997)
Invoicing and Credit On-Line System - Installed enhancements to existing programs, conducted analysis
of system requirements to design and developed new programs. Co-designed the graphical user interface
screens. DB2, SQL, CICS and COBOL II were used extensively.
Customer Invoicing & EDI Sub-system - Assisted in the development of functional system
requirements. Implemented solutions and detailed work deliverable; for several proposals and
modifications to existing programs under tight deadline pressure.
Sr. Application Consultant, COOPER & LYBRAND (1993)-(1994)
Commonwealth Edison Metering System - Worked on the conversion project, translating Assembler
code to Micro Focus COBOL II. Created test DB2 tables using Extended Database System. EPSILON
editor was used for viewing Assembler modules and Information Engineering Facility was used to view
the Data Structure List, Data Model List and Entity Hierarch.
