Senior Project:

Seal Test Rig – Challenged to design and manufacture a seal test rig which could be used to test o-ring

seals that are used in the drilling process of the oil and gas industry. The seal test rig is to sustain the

varying conditions of changing pressure in working fluid, rotational speed of the shaft, and by adding

abrasive particles into the fluid.

Tasks – Incorporated SolidWorks in order to design stainless steel housing, drive shafts and sleeves.

Lathe and CNC machine milling were used to fabricate the main components, as well as the frame of the

rig with table saws, grinders, and welders.
