representatives to provide on-the-spot quote of freight delivery prices
Duties include all phases of application from requirements gathering to design, data modeling, software
construction, testing, and deployment
Software tools used are: Lotus Notes and Visio for documentation; Delphi 3 for prototyping and rapid
application development of the client application running in Windows NT
Used as back-end database is DB2 version 6 running in IBM MVS. Tools used for building the database
queries and updates in the mainframe include QMF, SPUFI, and Platinum RC Query. Static SQL were
created in the mainframe and accessed via client/server using IBM's APPC protocol
Created a program, ran monthly, to upload the mainframe DB2 database with pricing data from an
ACCESS database.
For 5 months, enhanced the pricing contracts maintenance system (FoxPro 2.6), used to keep negotiated
price contracts
As part of a 5-person team, shared in the design and construction phases to convert this system to JAVA
(1.2.2). The client application was developed using VisualCafe 4 Expert Edition. The design included
writing of the SQL specification for the database operations that were implemented as DB2 stored
procedures. Design pattern used was the Model-View-Controller (MVC) and Java technology used were
the Java Swing components for the graphical user interface (GUI) and JDBC for database access.
Company provided 143 hours of training through instructor-led classes on the following: DB2 Tuning,
Basic / Intermediate / Advanced Java, Object-Oriented Development (OOD) Using Unified Modeling
Language (UML), etc.

Contracted by Keane Inc. as programmer during the construction phase of the project for conversion of
the Third Party Accounting System to client-server programming
Used Delphi 4 for the data-entry screens, DB2 on the mainframe for the database
As part of a team of 5 developers, coded windows from detail design specifications and wrote and
executed unit test scripts, enhanced technical architecture code including system error detection and
reporting (exception handling) in both the client and agent pieces of the multi-tier architecture, agent
method for connection to database and agents through MIDAS (Multi-tiered Distributed Application
Services), productivity logging, etc.
Researched on impacts of conversion from version 3 to version 4 of Delphi, and performed the conversion
of code by adapting new components to the existing architecture
