Plant supervisor
Privately held $10 million dollar sheetfed folding carton / packaging printer.
Responsible for 25 direct reports in manufacturing.
Daily scheduling, production and quality within the pre-press, layout, press, die cutting and gluing
departments.
Accounts included Perrigo pharmaceuticals, Amway, School Zone, Planters Lifesavers, Softsource and the
Brilliance Co.
Projects:
Developed and implemented stochastic and HiFi 7 color print process for national label accounts.
Successfully lead the new plant start up of 3 sheetfed-offset divisions and 2 flexographic divisions
with all new digital pre-press, printing equipment, in -plant ink room operations and the associated
systems, procedures and training programs.
Technical development and support for the Fort Dearborn University program. Designed to provide
comprehensive training and education programs for pressroom associates using SMED, GATF
sheetfed training module, SHOTS press simulator programs, National Skill Standards and numerous
other industry materials for Offset and Flexography.
Directed and participated in company wide Process Improvement Teams designed to reduce cycle
time and wastes by utilizing Lean and Seamless manufacturing principles, associate engagement,
data collection and statistical analysis and corrective and preventive actions.

Increased EBTDA profitability from single to double digits without capital expense at both Winona
and Winnebago.
Promoted from Plant manager to Corporate Director at F ort Dearborn to develop and implement
companywide process improvements, selection and installation of new equipment and technology at
existing and newly acquired printing plants.
Direct financial / customer impact at Fort Dearborn results; color related complaints dropping from
#1 to #6.
Corporate ink and coating standardization savings of 19%.
Paper standardization savings of 16%.
Plate remake reduction of 24.2%.
Press make-ready time reduction of 25%.
Received the Corporate High Achievement Workgroup Award in 2002 & 2003 for directing the
corporate color management, color measurement and print process improvement programs.
