Complete Operations P&L statement responsibility.
Responsible for managing a 140,000 square foot, non-union plant of 84 people.
Peak plant sales were $75M.
Create budgets, forecasts, run at rates, and capacity analysis.
Managed Continuous Improvement, Materials, and Manufacturing Departments.
Led Shelbyville manufacturing in the achievement of the Chairman’s award for Quality 2007 through 2008 (less
than 1 PPM for each period).
Reduced recordable injuries in the Shelbyville facility by 80% (from 10 to 2 recordable injuries 2006 to 2008)
using safety committees, employee involvement and enhanced awareness through Behavior Based Safety
initiatives.
Through the improved safety performance of the plant, we were also able to reduce the severity of our injuries
which yielded decreased worker’s compensation claims from $20K to under $1K by the end of 2007.
Reduced company scrap 6.25% in 2006 down to 2.5% through 2008 resulting in annualized savings of $900K
annually.
Personally established inventory management system through kanban and reduced inventories $1.2M in the
first 6 months of implementation.
