Plant expansion included increasing plant capacity by 33% within existing building

footprint and the relocation of several ancillary systems including a PSM covered

process. All work completed ahead of schedule.

Project Engineer, MWMB Inc., Clarksville, TN

Responsible for the design of a fiberglass recycling facility, developed product testing

plan to convert scrap into a usable raw material, assisted with process development,

selected equipment, conducted construction inspections, checked out equipment, and

started up process. Facility successfully produced usable material for this one of a kind

facility.

Project Engineer, Lubrizol Inc., Spartanburg, SC

Responsible for design of a chemical batch facility that allowed client to transfer the

production of their products back in-house from a toll manufacturer. In order to reduce

capital costs several used pieces of equipment utilized. Transfer of tolled products

completed ahead of schedule and produced products in spec as good as or better than

toll manufacturer on initial run.

1984 – 1996

Plant Engineer/Maintenance Manager, Henkel Corporation, Mauldin, SC

• Manage maintenance department at chemical manufacturer.

• Developed calibration program for plant instruments

Developed test procedures, instrument calibration schedules, and trained

technicians to enable compliance to ISO standard

• Developed PSM Mechanical Integrity Program

Developed inspection requirements for equipment, in-house test procedures,

located external resources as required, developed inspection schedule to ensure

compliance with OSHA standard

Setup inspection programs, maintenance work orders, storeroom inventory

spare parts availability

Resulted in plant operations to be able to increase production from a five day to a

seven day a week operation with minimal downtime
