Production Supervisor
Plan and manage production of over two billion aluminum cans per year. Plan aluminum
can production schedules for four different manufacturing plants at one time. Specific
duties include:
Analyze forecasts, inventories, future production and costs based on self developed
excel models. Used pivot tables extensively.
Interact with customers on a daily basis.
Engaged in cost analysis on production planning and transportation
Manage can sourcing from most of our eight production facilities to multiple customer
locations and warehouses throughout the United States.
* Develop plans that maximize direct shipments and minimize freight &
warehouse expense.
* Manage cost saving initiatives for reducing double-handling of product and
storage costs.
Plan warehouse inventories exceeding 350 million cans at any one time.
Manage constant changes to soft drink can graphics.
*Manage production and inventory issues involving graphic changes and local
promotions
*Follow-up with customers and MCC Marketing department on customer liability
for obsolete graphics and old inventory.
During soft drink production planning, minimize label changes at can plants while

Transportation Coordinator
Procure transportation for full goods and trade return shipments. Managed transportation
expense exceeding $25 million per year, per brewery. Responsible for customer service
and follow-up for brewery warehouse, wholesalers and trucking companies. Monitor and
manage carrier performance in support of product quality and warehouse and wholesaler
constraints. Develop carriers to support operation efficiencies and cost savings efforts.
Analyze distribution plan requirements and carrier rates/capacities to reduce transfer
expense.
Role of team lead over the ten member Transportation Group.
*Programmed macros to measure unloaded shipments and rejected trailers for the
purposes of reporting and communicating.
*Developed SOP’s for deadheading trucks and miscellaneous shipments.
*Worked with Corporate Inventory Management for new product rollout
transportation plans.
*Maintained performance measures and daily brewery status reports.
*Trained new Transportation coordinators and shadowed by several AB
employees outside of Transportation.
Gathered financial data on costs associated with shipping loads via deadhead and
weighed against not shipping to meet arbitrary requirements.

Team lead on system issues with Anheuser-Busch’s tendering system. Manage issues
log of the system. In continuous contact with programmers regarding issues with the
tendering system.
Managed cost analysis on different carriers use on various lanes and backhaul loads.

2005 for my significant achievements and contributions to the Transportation department.

Responsible for paying freight bills, balance dues, parts and service invoices.
Continuously worked with A-B business managers, engineers and other brewery
personnel along with outside vendors to maintain our accounts.
Lead a team that created an SOP for purchase order price discrepancies. The SOP
affects A/P Purchasing, Contract Administration, MRP Coordinators and brewery
storerooms.
Informally lead several process improvement groups within Accounts Payable and
Freights Payable. Completed several special projects for my supervisor including
contractor audits and meeting face-to-face with vendors.
Maintained two general ledger clearing accounts and helped maintain company-wide
parts consignment for Accounts Payable.
Earned a Recognition Award in July 2002 for my significant achievements and
contributions to the Accounting department.
