Position: Civil/Structural Engineer

Projects:-

1. Prairie State project, Lively Grove, Washington County, IL. It is a 2 unit 800 MW pulverized

coal plant. This is a modern coal plant with all new facilities of a power plant. It is a 2 billion

dollar project. I have been involved as a structural engineer in design and construction phase

of the project.

2. W.H Sammis First Energy Retrofit project, Stratton, Ohio. It is a retrofit project for 750 MW

power plants. The project involves design and construction of SO2 and other harmful emission

absorption system from the flue gases. It is a 2 billion dollar project involving installation of

system which contains Absorbers, OX -Air building, Chimney, Lime Preparation Building,

Secondary Dewatering Building, Waste Water Treatment Facility, ducts system 30ft x 30 ft in

cross section and running along the length of the existing plant, and so on.

3. Trimble County Unit II, Trimble, Kentucky. It is a 750 MW Coal fired Power Plant. Trimble

County Unit II power plant is a Supercritical Coal fired power plant. This is the second unit which

adds the power generated to the existing unit I which was designed in 1970’s by Foster Wheeler.

I worked as a Structural engineer in the project involved in boiler structure design.

My responsibilities as Civil/ Structural Engineer are:-

1. Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures and

criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications.

OroGrande, CA: - CEI provided complete design services to FLUOR for development of

complete material handling systems for the Cement production plant located in Oro-Grande.

Services offered were mechanical and structural engineering, AutoCAD designing, fabrication

and construction management of the complete material handling systems.

Designed the transfer towers, multistoried buildings with Material Handling systems in each level,

long trusses ranging from 50 to 200 feet, various improvised structures depending on the

requirement.

HPGR, Indonesia: - CEI provided complete design of the material handling system for the

Copper and other metal extraction from the ore. I have designed two conveyors with long trusses.

Responsibilities in projects:-

1. Preliminary design and cost estimation of all the structures.
