turbine shafts, and drum and gear assembly

• Developed ways to reduce and use daily scrap efficiently by 20% in departments with tool

management program and written set up procedures.

• Improved productivity by eliminating roughly 30 parts per shift at the final washer by discovering a

lose and a worn out rail that caused an incorrect weight distribution inside the washer.

• Reprogrammed all Hardinge Lathes in G-codes to cut identification marks on parts for quality

a targeted goal of 700 covers per day, 750 pumps per day, and 1260 turbines per day

Covers department to verify that machines are capable of producing our daily goal for process

improvement

• Represented production group with regard to reducing scrap from 5%/week to 3%/week in quality
