SELECTED CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS
• With Ceramaspeed worked with a team to Improve KPI from 45% to 65 %. Start up of 4 new lines, hired and trained
new production supervisors, Implemented 24/7 production shift pattern. Developed local machine shop and spare
part suppliers.
• In Propasa managed a project of two production lines relocated from Naples, Italy and Scotland to Monterrey
Mexico, coordinated civil work and installation with external contractor, completed technical information and OEM
for proper operation, successfully negotiated with contractor for civil work and installation saving 150 K USD.
(Temporary assignment)
• With Filtrona Filters Mexico coordinated with a multidisciplinary team the start-up of a carbon activate cigarette
filters facility in Monterrey Mexico. The project included building conditioning, key personnel recruitment, training,
machine installation and protocol. Project cost 23 Million USD. Achieved project time line and cost and costumer
audit (PM) site approval.
• With Filtrona Filters responsible for production, quality, maintenance, warehouse and EH&S. ISO 9000 & 14000
certification. Main achievements consist of the continuous Improvement projects which save the company more
than 250 K USD year. Achieved the three best KPI indexes, and H&S audit score in the Filtrona group for efficiency,
productivity, waste reduction and time without accidents. The ISO 9000/14000 certification integrated system was a
major milestone achieved in this facility.
• As a process engineer in EMC (American National Can Co), development of a robust maintenance program for all
Lithographic presses in the department. Development of local parts and machine shop services such as; suppliers
of roller recovering (reducing maintenance costs). Development with the supplier the Improvement of an internal
can-coating for meat and fish products. As QA Chief, preparation of claim response procedures and start ISO 9000
documentation for certification. Initiation of QC statistics by machine and type of problem as a toll for solving
problem actions and supporting production department to implement corrective actions. As Technical manager
coordinated project for relocation of 3 fish can lines, developed new spare parts suppliers and maintained
communication between American National Can advisors and local manager.
• In Phelps Dodge responsible for the wire draw department; including cable-forming machines, PVC extruders,
Building wires and high-voltage wires. Achievements included re-structuring the die shop, acquiring the proper
tooling for die preparation. Completed manual for tooling calculation on the extrusion processes. Coordinate
installation of a nylon jacket wire line and submitted samples for UL approval.
• In Venemaica as A&P technician participation on the major overhaul of 4 aircraft BAV Canberra of the Venezuelan
Air Force establishing excellent technical communication with UK and local technicians.
