APX Logistics Jackson, MS Terminal Manager 04/05 – 05/06
Responsibilities: Hiring, motivating, developing and retaining Sort Managers, Leads,
hourly, administrative and contract employees. Completed daily planning of the pick-up
and delivery operations for terminal; charged with maintaining productivity goals and
supervising of the facility’s OSHA and building compliance. Charged with completing
contractor business results, holding presort meeting, overseeing satellite thru put and
integrity programs, monitoring all service goals, monitoring monthly I&E reports for
profitability and maintaining productivity standards. Responsible for the Jackson, MS
and also the Baton Rouge, LA distribution centers with an area of responsibility that
included all United States Postal Location in the state of Mississippi as well as the state
of Louisiana.
Accomplishments: Both terminals, which were previously ranked in the bottom 10% of
company standing, achieved first and second place rankings in the areas of Dock
Operations and Pick-up and Delivery Operations for FY ‘06.
FEDEX Ground, Queens, NY P&D Manager 11/00 - 10/04
Responsibilities: Hired as Administrative Service Manager and charged with the
development of the Quality Assurance Department and Clerical Departments for terminal
with annual revenue in excess of 15 million dollars. Recruited, hired, and trained all
administrative staff which achieved record audit results for FY ‘01/”02. Promoted to
Service Manager II and assigned to regional audit team FY’03. Promoted to P&D
Manager FY ‘04 and responsible for the recruiting and hiring of all employee’s, contract
personnel and service manager’s for terminal and maintaining contractor business results.
Conducting presort meeting, overseeing satellite thru put and integrity programs,
monitoring all service goals. Wrote company Standard Operations Procedures for
administrative procedures; charged with monitoring and maintaining all profitability
reports, along with productivity standards and cash reconciliation reports. Other duties
include administrating accounts payables and the proper maintenance for of company
vehicles, training of all terminal personnel in job functions including the daily planning
of Pick-up and Delivery planning for terminal.
Accomplishments: Selected as Rookie of the year for region 06/01; selected as
Administrative Manager of the year 06/02; Selected for the beyond the call of duty award
for region 06/03 as a direct result of my on the job performance; received company safety
award 06/04.
Kmart Distribution Center, North Bergen, NJ Operation Manager 4/98 – 10/00
Responsibilities: Supervisor for Quality Assurance Program. Charged with the
development and implementation of a newly developed QA department; this included the
hiring of all personnel and developing all departmental structure and standards.
Scheduled, tracked and monitored 100% of all EPDI inbound shipments for sampling.
Contracted all vendors and conducted on site vendor visits to review all items for charge-
Backs. Department achieved 104% of projected plan revenue for year in six months.
Promoted to Operation Manager of the Secured Jewelry, responsible for the
scheduling, delivery, shipping, returns, repack, pre-pack and turnaround of all
inbound/outbound merchandise; Facility served all Kmart stores in national and
international markets.
Accomplishments: QA Department achieved 200% to projected plan. Jewelry
Department achieved 104% of projected plan for first time in company history.
R.H. Macy’s, Brooklyn, NY Department Manager 5/96 - 4/98
Responsibilities: Department Manager for Men’s Clothing, Men’s Shoe’s and Dockers
Pants. Hired and trained all department personnel, set displays and merchandised all
departments which included establishing floor sets and displays for all brands.
Maintained and reordered stock for all departments’ area of responsibility exceeds 10
million in annual sales volume. Promoted to Level II Manager and given the additional
responsibilities of Dockers Pants, Young Men’s Action Shop and the collections brands
which included Calvin Klein, Polo, and Nautical Brands. Directed and achieved sales
goals for areas with revenue in excess of 25 million dollars.
Accomplishments: Transformed sales team operating at 95% to plan and developed a
team that attained results of 107% to plan. Cut departmental shortage to less than 1%.
Departments won numerous sales contests and sales titles.
