The project defined the extent of separation as the difference between the ASTM 50
volume percent temperature of the fractions using the conventional Packie Chart.
Compared the separation degree between the overhead and the highest sidestream and
the adjacent sidestreams obtained from the Packie Chart with the gap/overlap values
from PRO-II simulation technique and proved the need of a correction factor
