Area Sales Manager
Responsible for sales of fluid and gas automation products
which include valves (solenoid valves, control valves,
medical valves), instrumentation (gas mass flow control, flow
(mag meter and paddle wheel), level, pressure, temperature,
pH, conductivity, and ORP), and custom systems solutions
utilizing a number of components to solve customer
problems.
Territory covers: Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia,
and Puerto Rico. Markets include: OEM, Biotech,
Pharmaceutical, Power Generation, Food and Beverage,
Water Treatment, and Entertainment. Major Accounts: Ajax
Tocco, Doosan Hydro, Spirax Ultrapure, SPX Pneumatic
Products, Crane Environmental, Spectrum Systems, and
Enraf.
Duties include adding new customers, consultative selling,
and developing existing customer base from a direct selling
standpoint. Also manage the distribution network in my
territory to include adding / subtracting distribution groups,
training, and joint sales calls.
Accomplishments:
- Since taking over the Southeast, added the most new
OEM accounts (27) of any territory in the US.
- Increased sales by 26% last year through new
customers, developing existing customers, and growing
distribution sales. There were 17 new customers
accounting for over $110,000.
1/04- 4/06 IDEX PULSAFEEDER DIVISION Rochester, NY
Pulsafeeder is a manufacturer of chemical feed pumps that
include hydraulic and mechanical metering pumps, small
transfer centrifugal pumps, and gear pumps.
Regional Sales Manager
Responsible for increasing sales, forecasting and budgeting
throughout territory by managing the sales channels by
which Pulsafeeder goes to market. The metering pumps are
sold through a manufacturer’s representative network. The
gear pumps are sold through distributors. Trained,
motivated, made joint sales calls, managed projects, hired
and fired (where needed) with the ultimate goal of increasing
sales.
Territory covered: Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina,
Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama,
Florida, and Georgia. Markets included: Power Generation,
Chemical, Wastewater Treatment, and municipal
wastewater.
Accomplishments:
- Sold chemical feed systems to the city of Atlanta for their
water treatment facility that supplied the city with drinking
water. The total Purchase Order was for $1.2 million,
which is still the largest project ever recorded at
Pulsafeeder.
- The southeast territory had $7 million in sales of pumps
and systems, which was over a 20% increase from 2004.
The majority of the growth came from chemical feed
systems as Pulsafeeder was transitioning from a pump
manufacturer to a systems supplier. Aided that transition
by replacing old pump representatives with
representatives who had the ability to sell entire chemical
systems.

Duties include adding new customers, consultative selling,
and developing existing customer base from a direct selling
standpoint. Also manage the distribution network in my
territory to include adding / subtracting distribution groups,
training, and joint sales calls.
Accomplishments:
- Increased distribution sales by 12% in 2001 by focused
training and joint sales calls. Organized regional training
seminars in each of the regions and had 100%
participation.
- Increased new customer sales by 45% in 2003 by adding
Sterling, LB White, and i-Cyt.
- With the help of our distribution partner in Chicago, sold
$150,000 of medical solenoid valves into the nuclear
medicine industry. This was the first time Burkert had
sold product into this industry and we have since
duplicated that success.
1997-2001 BETZDEARBORN Trevose, PA
Technical Specialist
Responsible for managing existing customer base, selling
new accounts, and troubleshooting existing clients water
treatment issues. Additionally managed three technicians
who were responsible for conducting the water analysis, and
was responsible for their schedule and their professional
growth within BetzDearborn. Industries coverd were power
(including nuclear), steel industry, middle market, and
commercial and institutional.
