FOT-AMT is a trusted supplier of Wireline pressure control equipment to oil and gas drilling companies

around the world.

Mechanical Engineering Supervisor, 2007 to Present

Performed Design Verification Calculations for existing and new equipment using MathCAD and

ALGOR. Ensured compliance to applicable industry standards, (API, ASME), Designed new equipment

to customer and industry specifications. Coordinated with sales and purchasing to complete in house

research projects. Solved “On-the-spot” customer problems and supplied engineering data to third

party review companies upon customer request, Developed material specifications and

testing/operational procedures.

Key Results:

Implemented multiple design improvements making machining and assembly processes more

efficient.

Developed 2 designs that were submitted for patent application for innovation.

Secured the purchase of ALGOR FEA Software and attended multiple training courses to integrate

Finite Element Analysis into the design process.

Secured the purchase of a Lab view Data Acquisition system to collect strain gauge data for the

completion of design verification of parts that do not lend themselves to hand calculations.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE (CONTINUED)

RECON ENGINEERING Sulphur, LA

Professional Engineering and Management Services.

Mechanical Project Engineer, 2007

Participated as part of tank farm maintenance team maintaining schedules for repair of above ground

storage tanks. Used ALGOR FEA along with API-650 calculations to ensure the integrity of existing

above ground storage tanks. Created piping ISO’s in the field then used CAESAR II to evaluate pipe

stresses and displacements.

Key Results:

Determined through the use of ALGOR FEA software that construction errors were to blame for

large tank deformation.

Used ALGOR FEA software to effectively size sheet metal thickness for mixer support mounts on

large above ground tanks.
