Project Description(PCI) -

AEGON is one of the world’s largest life insurance and pension groups, and a strong provider of investment

products. The PCI project scope is to prevent access to customer data by encrypting personal data on the

Genesys and Ingenium applications. Genesys and Ingenium have functions such as Policy setup and

maintenance, Issue, Telemarketing, Takeover Processing, Cert Maintenance, Billing, Premium posting and

Commissions.

Responsibilities -

Role – Senior Programmer Analyst

• Identification and analysis of all the impacted elements - batch and online programs,

JCL, PROCS, copybooks, CICS screens, files and DB2 tables.

• Prepared technical specifications, flowcharts and estimate sheets.

• Created and modified the batch and online programs, jcl, procs and copybooks.

• Developed specifications based on user requirements and involved in the estimation of work effort to

Production batch cycle and it included all the new and modified codes for a particular Release.

process included copying, cloning and transforming jcls, procs and control cards from Production and

Endevor, where modified codes resided for particular release, libraries.

• Performed Retrofit of Base platform to production from the dates provided, Forward Fit of the platform

from the preceeding Release identified, online shakedown, jclcheck, backup and restore of platforms.

• Created NDM jobs and control cards to transmit VSAM and flat files from Production to Test platforms

Order entry system is an existing system which involves receiving the order from customer, processes the order

through various steps and finally shipping. Freight system involves selection of carrier with optimal rate and

assigning a order to it.

Conversion of 2 byte Category code field to 4 byte which was used by almost all the applications.

Responsibilities -

Role - Technical Lead

• Maintenance and enhancement of the existing ORDER ENTRY and FREIGHT systems by coding new

and/or updating existing on-line and batch programs, JCL, PROCS, copybooks, CICS on-line screens

using COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL and VSAM. The programs included RPGII programs.

• Created new RPGII programs to generate reports for Sales and Customer Service departments.

• Developed and modified easytrieve programs.

Project Description -

The New HEIGHTS system is a large-scale interactive welfare system that automates client registration,

application entry, eligibility determination, benefit calculation, benefit issuance and work programs for the

Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), State Adult Cash Programs, Food Stamps, Child Care and

Medicaid programs.

Responsibilities -

Role - Programmer Analyst

• Participated in the full life cycle of a new development project. This included researching technical and

user requirements, creating detail designs conversion, programming and coding of the COBOL batch

and online programs that were required to meet the project specifications.

• Developed CICS screens and COBOL programs to process welfare data in an integrated (DHHS) DB2

database.

Project Description -

The aim of the project was to redevelop the Mantis Programs into CICS of the Customer Service System. The

redeveloped CICS programs should have the same functionality of the previous MANTIS programs.

Responsibilities -

• Analyzed the existing Mantis programs and depending on the functionality of the Mantis programs

prepared the structure charts and test plans.

• Developed programs in DB2, CICS, VSAM AND VS COBOL II to match existing systems functions.

• Created the detail documentations related to conversion project.

• Performed extensive Unit and System testing to ensure newly developed systems functions similarly to

old Mantis systems.

DB2 DEVELOPMENT FOR STOCK AFI SYSTEM, UNICHEM, UK

Role - Programmer Analyst

Project Description -

The aim of the project was to develop DB2 programs which archive the aged Stock Adjustment Data. The

system provided daily financial and management information on stock holding and stock movements of each

product at each branch.

Responsibilities -

• Involved in the analysis, design, conversion, programming and coding of the COBOL/DB2 programs that

were required to meet the project specifications.

• Based on the specification, prepared the structure charts and test plans.

• Responsible for modifying the existing reports using COBOL-JCL-DB2 in order to meet the client’s

requirement.

• Responsible for the reviews and defect free delivery of the product.

• Handled the additional responsibility of maintaining the quality and project related documents.

• Created the test cases for comprehensive Unit testing. Involved in extensive system testing and

migration into production.
