EXPERIENCE
September 2003 AMERICAN VALVE, INC. ~ Greensboro, NC
to October 2008 Senior Vice President – Operations (10/04 to 10/08)
Managed overseas factories, achieving threefold growth in shipments with over 99% fill rate
and 99% on-time delivery.
Successfully executed six major product line resets with Lowe’s Companies; accountable
for product quality, including third party testing of 90+ products, factory certification and
C-TPAT compliance of eight overseas factories.
Charged with all purchasing, inventory management, logistics and warehousing for 1,000+
rough plumbing products; sold to traditional wholesale channels and retail customers.
Challenge: Placing 150 boxes of registers into Lowe’s stores to convert stores to American
Valve’s product.
Action: Rather than bringing this Chinese-origin product into Greensboro and shipping to
1100 Lowe’s store in 49 states, directed each shipment from Asia to particular stores.

$500,000+ in shipping and handling costs.
Vice President – Sourcing (9/03 to 10/04)
