Provide executive, accounting and financial leadership for two foreign owned gun
manufacturers which included the purchase, relocation and consolidation of the
businesses as a start-up in a new location.
Vice President/Controller
Co-Managerial Executive, who oversaw and coordinated all aspects of accounting,
finance, operations and compliance.
Increased profits 200% in 2 years by reorganizing distribution networks,
redefined inventory levels and requirements, evaluated procurement policies to
ensure we had the right products at the right time, reduced discretionary
spending and instilled primary emphasis on customer service.

Was responsible for overseeing all aspects of divisional financial results including budget
preparation, monthly closing cycles and results, product costing and pricing. Worked
directly with manufacturing engineering on capacity manning, machine utilization, and
most production matrices.

Reviewed and analyzed all project milestones and budget compliance with
project managers.
Selected to serve on a 16-person corporate Sarbanes Oxley audit team to
oversee all of Siemens facilities in the US.

Plant financial leader for a $170 million dollar tire manufacturing facility.
Plant Controller
Managed 17 hourly and salaried positions and 9 contractor positions. Oversaw all
aspects of plant, warehouse, and technical spending with annual operating budgets of
$162 million, $3.8 million, and $4 million respectively, with a $15 million in capital
spending. Oversaw and approved financial reporting and analysis including monthly
operating results, budgetary development and preparation, forecast analysis and various
other account analyses. Coordinated month end closing with corporate.
Served on the joint venture due diligence team which created the world’s largest
tire manufacturer with $15 billion in annual sales.
Contributed as a member of the Plant Operating Committee for tactical issues
and Factory Council for strategic planning.
Maintained and coordinated monthly physical and WIP inventories and biannual
plant inventories.
Reduced month end closings from 6 days to 1 day by initiating the Fundamental
Barrier Analysis process and implemented team recommendations.
Enabled Business Center Managers to reduce operating costs 10% and improve
plant performance through development of tracking tools and improved cost
measures.

of SAP.
