Leadership Experience:
• Selected at NewPage Wickliffe Mill to lead Mill Optimization due to history of
excellent safety compliance & record, saving millions in process optimization,
and leading people and managing processes, until recently when the job and many
people were eliminated due to severe economic downsizing.
• Led Graphics Packaging Int’l Mill in $3 million in energy reductions through
training and leadership in the Lime Kiln area, and led the Environmental
Department in obtaining an effluent water discharge permit, and increased
maintenance flexibility to reduce contractor expense.
• Led G-P Port Hudson Mill Utilities Department through major environmental
upgrade, and improved the G-P Corp. Utility Audit Rating from “At Risk” to
“Excellent”, and on to best in corporation.
• Led Champion Courtland Mill Utilities Department to increase black liquor firing
rate and megawatt production by 20% while reducing costs through successful
High Performance Work Redesign.
• Successfully implemented a High Performance Work System and a led a start-up
crew at Willamette Industries Bennettsville Mill & Leaf River GNN Mill.
