in increased efficiency and substantial reductions in global spend.
Organized purchasing of Travel Services, IT hardware & software, liquid fuels, raw materials,

Negotiated international contracts for such items and services as solid & liquid fuels, raw materials
and third party logistics, significantly reducing unit costs and shipping times.
Created new streamlined procurement department in Manila for a newly acquired $300 million cement
manufacturing company, which resulted in increased efficiency and eventually became the
procurement department for all Asian operations of the company.

Directed purchasing activities, negotiated international and domestic contracts, developed procedures
and managed warehouse inventory with annual budget of over $30 million.
Saved $3 million through contract negotiations (10% reduction) in 12 months by helping suppliers
reduce their costs and thereby passing along a percentage of their savings.
Purchased annually 800,000 metric tons of solid fuels from the United States and organized the
chartering of vessels for transportation of these materials, assuring timely delivering and cost effective
inventory levels.
