INVENTORY CONTROL SUPERVISOR
Set up new methods and procedures for locating and retrieving over stock. Improved labeling
and sorting methods that increased accuracy and warehouse location efficiency. Set up
procedures to insure flow of stock to the proper area based on need. Set aside areas for temporary
storage so it could be retrieved quickly (it was accessible without the directional lift). Labeled
the warehouse with better identification. Shortened the distance from staging inbound stock to
locating stock, thereby increasing equipment efficiency. Set up queries on the AS400 to better
organize location lists for retrieval of stock. With these improvements we eliminated the need for
overtime resulting in a 30% reduction in labor and equipment and increased warehouse capacity
by 50%
.

RETAIL DISTRIBUTION MANAGER
Managed all aspects of our retail distribution center in Tupelo. We shipped clothing to two major
U.S. retailers and various independent retailers. It was a high volume pick pack warehouse. It
uses barcode scanning with radio frequency wands for case content verification.
I managed as many as 72 employees and shipped as many as 100,000 units per week. Used the
AS400 environment to allocate, receive and track all inventory. Extracted information from the
AS400 and imported it into Excel spreadsheets that I designed and built, for weekly and monthly
management reports. Reduced the inventory variance per year from 20,000 pair to less than 200
pair. I have used queries extensively on the AS400.

FACILITY MANAGER
I was responsible for the building and grounds of our Tupelo facility. I managed all the
operations including the warehousing, purchasing, and receiving of all products. I managed a
commissary that produced all the fresh food. I also managed all the general office operations. I
helped set up and install a PC network that used a vending company software program.
When I managed the cafeterias I raised sales from $6,500,000.00 to $11.500, 000.00 by
introducing new products and offering more variety. I managed about 100 employees in 22
cafeterias that covered 3 shifts in some cases. I set up Excel spreadsheets that tracked cash sales
at the individual cafeterias so I could put emphasis on the ones with the most potential for
improvement. I also set up spreadsheets that accounted for all transactions in the money counting
room.

ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER
I was responsible for achieving my personal sales quotas, salesmen training, inventory control,
product merchandising, proofreading ads, and the tagging of sales items. I had to reconcile cash
daily and assist with daily, weekly and monthly paperwork. Responsibility included customer
satisfaction and ethical sales practices, store volume, and customer problem resolution.

I was responsible for all operations involved in the fabrication of foam for the furniture industry.

CUTTING ROOM MANAGER
I worked in three different cutting rooms with Bluebell. I have cut for women’s tops and pants,
kids woven and knit tops, and men’s shirts and pants. I have cut a vast variety of fabrics. I have
managed many types of cutting and spreading including computerized Gerber cutters. I ran a
parts department that included a zipper unit, an embroidery unit and a belt loop unit. I also held
positions in distribution and warehousing while at Bluebell.
