AM GENERAL CORPORATION (contracted through HRU) 5/2008 – 3/2009
Senior Buyer
Responsible for developing quote packages, identifying potential sources, developing program budgets,
negotiating and sourcing all body in white stampings, door hardware and sealing systems and for a start up
OEM car manufacturing company (formerly Standard Taxi).
Lead buyer for stamping dies, class “A” body panels and closure assemblies, welded sub-assemblies, and
structural stampings. Developed quote packages, negotiated and sourced door reinforcement beams, fuel
filler door, bent tube assemblies, roll formed components, fascias, glass, exterior mirrors, wiper systems,
and HVAC air ducts
Developed a low initial investment cost strategy by sourcing capital expenditures under a limited
production volume / prototype cost model. Successfully reduced the amount of capital investment required
before SOP by $35 million.
MAGNA STEYR (contracted through G-Tech) 5/2007 – 5/2008
Interior / Exterior Buyer
Responsible for coordinating all interior and exterior purchasing activities for a Russian OEM automotive
manufacturing company. Negotiated tool refurbishment costs, pilot & series production piece prices,
general terms and conditions.
Developed Magna Steyr’s supplier nomination / approval process communicating tool refurbishment costs,
production pricing and special terms and conditions. Lead buyer for coordinating Russian localization
issues within the NAFTA region.
Successfully negotiated over $1million in tool refurbishment cost savings.
STANDARD TAXI (contracted through IPS) 8/2006- 2/2007
Buyer
Responsible for quoting and negotiating capital and components piece pricing for interior and exterior trim
components, seating, electrical and HVAC assemblies. Assisted a start up OEM car manufacturing
company develop their bill of material costs and capital investment budget.
Successfully reduced vehicle material content by $813 per vehicle by investigating alternative processing
methods and materials.

GDX AUTOMOTIVE (contracted through GTA) 2/2006 – 8/2006
Buyer
Responsible for negotiating and strategically sourcing injection molded plastics, TPV resin, metal
stampings and coated coil steel for several new program launches. Issued request for quotes, negotiated
terms and conditions for production tooling and component piece prices.
Supported GDX’s start up facility in Guadalajara, Mexico. Developed GDX Mexico’s requisition approval
process, provided material scheduling / MAPICS ERP training to plant buyers, expedited MRO parts,
acting purchasing liaison between Farmington Hills, MI and Guadalajara, Mexico.
Successfully negotiated a $500,000 annual cost avoidance by rationalizing and consolidating GDX’s coated
aluminum and steel supply base.
Successfully negotiated $160,000 in annual savings on TPV through joint global negotiations between
GDX North America and GDX Germany.
JOHNSON CONTROLS INC. (contracted through GMBSI) 10/2005 – 2/2006
Buyer
Responsible for transitioning over 1,200 fasteners to alternate fastener distributors and manufacturers.
Communicated PPAP dates, break point dates and various transition issues to over 50 JCI facilities.
Saved $2,500,000 annually or 10% of JCI’s annual fastener spend.
GOERTZ & SCHIELE CORPORATION 3/2004 – 5/2005
Buyer
Responsible for quoting and negotiating tooling, production component & non-production material costs
for a tier one engine machining company. Primarily purchased iron and aluminum die castings, screw
machine components, cutting tools, MRO supplies.
Negotiated production piece prices, scrap agreements, metal adjustments, currency exchanges, payment
terms and freight rates with suppliers.
Developed standard inventory process & procedures Goertz and Schiele’s maintenance crib. Created part
info records, stock locations, min/max inventory levels and weekly exception reporting. Negotiated
favorable discount rates with indirect material suppliers based on leveraging our annual spend with fewer
suppliers. Established vendor managed inventory system for office supplies.
Launched SAPR/3 ERP software for Goertz & Schiele’s Auburn Hills, MI facility. Created requisitions,
purchase orders, scheduling agreements, part numbers, vendor codes & info records. Created material
release schedules and assisted receiving direct and MRO material.
ZF SACHS AUTOMOTIVE OF AMERICA 9/2002 - 11/2003
Senior Buyer
Responsible for the advanced purchasing activities for a tier 1 automotive shock and strut manufacturer.
Commodity champion for rubber, rubber to metal, micro cellular urethane, injection and blow molded
plastics, suspension springs, internal compression springs, seals, returnable and expendable packaging.
Lead program buyer for all monotube shock programs. Responsibilities included, but were not limited to
placing prototype orders; issuing RFQ’s and negotiating terms and conditions for production parts and
production tools; supporting prototype, de-bug and pre-SOP builds; ensuring all PPAP packages were
received on time and that all outstanding dimensional, capacity or capability issues were resolved.

SCHEFENACKER VISION SYSTEMS 3/1999 - 5/2002
Senior Buyer
Responsible for the advanced and current production procurement activities of a tier 1 automotive mirror
and lighting manufacturer.
Lead commodity buyer for zinc and aluminum die castings, LEDs, LED driver modules, incandescent and
LED sub-assemblies, wire harness assemblies, incandescent bulbs and sockets. Lead program buyer for the
2002 DR exterior mirrors, GMX320 exterior mirrors, neon CHMSL and rear appliqué programs.
Saved 6% in 2002 and 3% in 2001 on an annual spend of $30 million through contact negotiations and
VA/VE.
Led the negotiating and re-sourcing activities of the GMX320 and GMX270 rear license pocket wire
harnesses at an annual savings of $240,000.
Led the negotiating and re-sourcing activities of the GMX270 tail lamp LED driver module from a contract
manufacturer in Mexico to a sister company in Europe at an annual savings of $800,000.
SCHRADER BRIDGEPORT INTERNATIONAL 3/1996 - 3/1999
Buyer/Planner
Responsible for the raw material planning and contract negotiation of air compressor, pressure washer, and
tire hardware components purchased domestically and internationally.
Purchased raw materials used to manufacture tier one and two automotive and industrial tire, air
conditioning and fuel valves. Purchases included screw machine components, rubber, rubber mixing and
nickel-plating chemicals.
Established vendor managed and consignment inventory programs for material used for production and
MRO.
DELWAL CORPORATION 2/1995 - 3/1996
Buyer
Purchased prototype stampings and prototype tools for several Ford vehicle launches. Internally
coordinated the production of prototype metal stampings.
