To work as a Medical Technician.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

Seven years and eight months of experience as a medic in the United States Air Force supporting active

duty members, their dependents, and retirees from all branches of service. Earned an Bachelor's Degree

in Social Science, certified as a National Emergency Medical Technician until March 2009, Associates in

Allied Health and an Associates in General Science. Air Force certified immunization back-up technician,

attended two Expeditionary Medical Support Courses giving me the skills to set up a portable medical

unit. In 2007, hand picked out of 40 of my peers to attend a 2-week course at St. Louis University

Hospital to practice my skills in a civilian setting. Experience in working in Oupatient clinic, screen

patients, to include vital signs, and history, preparing patient to be seen by Provider. Experience in

starting IV's, performing ECG's, Venipuntures, setting up sterile field for Provider, assisting in minor

surgical procedures, administering immunizations, and other outpatient procedures. Experience in clinical

interviewing, mental status examination, administering questionnaires, screening, and counseling patients

for high-risk, depression management, post-traumatic stress, and relationship. Supported mental health

services in psychiatry, psychology, social work programs by identifying high-risk patients and referring

them to the Mental Health Flight. Can read, write and speak in English and Spanish. Held a U.S.

Government Secret Security clearance for 8 years.
