Centers for Dialysis Care, Mentor, OH 2006 - 2009
CDC Corporation is a provider of hemodialysis medical services to thousands of patients in the
greater Cleveland area. They employ approximately 350 people.
Technical Manager
I was responsible for service technicians, as well as external contractors, providing all technical
services to the operation at this facility, including dialysis equipment repairs & preventive
maintenance, dialyzer reprocessing-machine repairs, dialysis-solution delivery systems, treated-
water reverse-osmosis & deionization system, electrical, communications, HVAC, IT, and safety.
I was also responsible for inventory, ordering and maintaining all clinical medications and facility
supplies, with an annual budget exceeding $3M.
IMALUX CORPORATION, Cleveland, OH (Part-time / temporary consulting) 2005 - 2006
Imalux is a new start-up medical device manufacturer. I worked with them intermittently to
develop new training and service documentation and to teach their initial product-service training
classes.

NBD INTERNATIONAL, Inc, Ravenna, OH 2003 - 2006
NBD is a loss-assessment consulting firm, doing work for most all the major insurance companies.
Project Engineer
In this position I worked in NBD’s Commercial Loss Division, as a Project Engineer.
My responsibilities involved on-site assessment of a wide variety of technical insurance losses in
the areas of industrial automation, manufacturing/test equipment, medical electronics, television
broadcast, HVAC, power, telecommunications, office electronics, security and IT equipment.

Picker was a billion dollar world leader in the design, manufacture and service of
medical diagnostic imaging equipment. It employed over 5000 people worldwide.
MRI Installations Manager 1992 - 1994
Developed and managed a staff of 11 technicians tasked with installation of
magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) products worldwide. These $1.5 million
medical-diagnostic systems were the new flagship products of the company.
. Re-staffed the installations department for the introduction of 3 new products.
Provided "Fast Field Feedback" to Engineering and Manufacturing groups to
identify and implement product improvements very quickly.
Implemented process improvements to reduce installation time on new products.
Completed all necessary research, documentation, and redesign of work processes
to qualify for ISO-9000 Quality Certification.
Assisted customers, architects, hospital engineers and contractors through all
aspects of site preparation and the installation process.
Technical Support Manager 1986 -1992
Re-staffed and rebuilt Service Engineering groups for the Nuclear and Ultrasound
product lines, following the closing of our Connecticut production & service facility.
Provided ongoing technical support to over 100 field service engineers, with
telephone and on-site assistance. Achieved best ever support "report card" by
annual Field Service Engineer survey.
Managed the service planning involved in the introduction of new products, including
all service training, documentation, tools/test equipment and parts support.
Improved installation and warranty costs on nuclear medicine products, with over
50% reduction in field labor and parts.
Generated all product service tech notes and safety/compliance mandatory letters
to Field Service Organization.
Acted as liaison between field service and headquarters design engineering,
manufacturing engineering and quality assurance groups, in the support of existing
products and introduction of new products.
CT Installations Manager 1979 - 1986
Managed a headquarters-based group of Engineers and Technicians installing
computed tomography (CT) diagnostic equipment worldwide.
Recommended and implemented dozens of product/process improvements which
reduced field installation time from 800+ hours to under 100 hours.
Managed a $1.2 million dollar budget, installing over 100 systems annually.
Tech Support Engineer 1975 - 1979
Provided direct technical support to over 100 field service engineers, via telephone
and on-site assistance.
Traveled domestically and abroad, including extended stays in Germany,

Wrote field-service technical notes, as well as mandatory safety and compliance
