few Executives retained in a 1985 management restructuring.

Mergers/Acquisitions:

Successfully planned, transitioned, and consolidated business functions for a variety of mergers/acquisitions.

Served as advisor to develop plan for the acquisition of a frozen potato processing plant. (Cascades Food)

Prepared valuation analysis and served on integration team for Kroger Carolina’s Division ($45 Million)

Led due diligence review, participated in final contract settlements, and planned/executed integration of financial

and administrative functions with BI-LO, Inc. and The Red Food Stores, Inc., Chattanooga TN ($120 Million) and Mayfair

Supermarkets, New Jersey ($65 Million)

Prepared valuation analysis, participated in negotiations of final terms with seller, aligned accounting and reporting

procedures for compatibility to supermarket procedures for Golden Gallon Convenience Stores, Chattanooga TN ($176

Million)

Spearheaded project directing the development of strategy, systems, and business processes of BI-LO’s

acquisition of Bruno’s.

Consultative Expertise:

Contracted as lead financial executive during BI-LO and Bruno’s sales offering by the parent Ahold USA.

Responsible for Bruno’s operational matters and due diligence procedures as performed by potential buyers.

After purchase, coordinated the effort of migrating all financial functions into BI-LO and closing Bruno’s financial

offices, assuring a smooth transition for the acquisition and integration of Bruno’s.

Developed plan to move all financial operations for BI-LO and Bruno’s to Birmingham, Alabama during

acquisition process.

Served as CFO/Controller until all functions were transitioned to BI-LO.

Responsible for active retention of financial personnel during the transition process.

Technical Skills:

Strong comprehension of technology capabilities to enhance corporate productivity.

Initiated the first IT committee at BI-LO to review IT requests and prioritize resources.

Advised and directed the Company against being on the "bleeding" edge of development, and to adopt proven

BI-LO is a $3 billion food retailer operating approximately 215 supermarkets in North and South Carolina, Georgia, and

Tennessee. Many of BI-LO's stores house pharmacies and some boast Starbucks Café kiosks. Brands include national

names, as well as BI-LO's own brands: Southern Hearth Bakery items, Full Circle natural and organic foods, Top Care

health and beauty aids, and Paws Premium dog and cat foods. The chain is currently owned by Dallas-based investment

firm Lone Star Funds, which acquired BI-LO and its sister chain Bruno's Supermarkets in 2005.

Executive Level Contractor/Consultant 2003-2009

Engaged as an executive level contractor/consultant to assist with BI-LO’s restructuring and integration of operations with

its newly acquired subsidiary, Bruno’s, Inc. in Birmingham, Alabama. Served as Business Lead for establishing a

Financial Shared Services Center in Birmingham and defining/implementing processes for the combined financial and

accounting functions.
