With over 9 years of experience and progressive responsibility in civil engineering consulting,

qualifications include extensive hands-on planning, site investigation, design, permitting, cost

estimating, project, and construction management. Background includes extensive service to

public and private-sector clientele including LADOTD, Exxon and Valero Refineries, U.S. Coast

Guard, Beau Rivage, City’s of New Orleans, Biloxi, Alexandria, Audubon Nature Institute, St.

Tammany Parish, Rapides Parish, FHWA, and other independent entities.

Project Management (ESI Group, Mike Slocum Enterprises, A+ Design & Construction,

Beta, LADOTD, Wink, & SGS Witter/TRC Engineers: 2001 – 2009) Managed construction

projects associated with various jobs that were completed within Army/National Guard Bases, oil

refineries, a Coast Guard Radar Tower, building inspections after Hurricane Ivan throughout the

Gulf Coast Region, Falling Oak Golf Course for the Beau Rivage in Biloxi Mississippi, and other

minor construction and rehabilitation jobs. For the Transportation Department at LSU he studied

and reported on the effects of Drone Radar on traffic and assisted other graduate level research

construction for on and off-system bridges for LADOTD and the City of Alexandria.

Expressway which consists of elevated steel plate girder sections, rolled steel sections, and

prestressed reinforced concrete sections along with a main truss span over the Mississippi.

Completed, detailed inspection of LA-47 MRGO. This bridge was a tied arch truss span with steel

plate girder approaches and prestressed reinforced concrete retrofit addition.

Bridge Design, Rating, and Overload Permitting (HUVAL, LA DOTD: 2002-2003, 2008)

Performed ratings of concrete slab span, concrete pre-cast slab span, concrete deck and girder,

timber, concrete deck with steel I-beam, composite and non-composite, concrete pre-stressed

girder, steel composite plate girder bridges; and permitting.

Structural Analysis & Design. (Beta Engineering, LADOTD, Wink Incorporated, & SGS

Witter/TRC Engineers: 2001-2003, 2005-2006) Provided analysis and design of various types

of structures including: multiple story walks, above ground building foundations, pipe racks, tanks

and other structures located within refineries; a Coast Guard Radar Tower on the Mississippi

River south of New Orleans, Louisiana; electrical substations; and various buildings.

Hydrology (TRC Engineers Inc: 2005-2006)

Analyzed and preformed studies in and around Chatlin Lake Canal and Red River which are

considered to be designated and undesignated floodways. These studies were performed to

permit development within the floodways through FEMA and Planning Commission.

Water Resources, Drainage. (Wink Incorporated & TRC Engineers: 2004-2006) Designed

multiple drainage systems, detention ponds, and retention ponds. Valero Oil Refinery on-site

addition, Believer’s Life Church sports complex, Ward 10 sports Complex, plus addition and

reconstruction of other commercial and residential site developments.

Roadway Design, all (LADOTD: 2003)

All aspects of retrofit roadway design and drafting. Planned and completed O’Neal Lane from I-

12 to South Harrells Ferry Road, Baton Rouge, LA. Project materials estimation, design, and

drafting with LADOTD.

Geotechnical (Beta, LADOTD, Wink, & SGS Witter/TRC Engineers: 2001 – 2006) Completed

coring report analyses to determine the capacity of piles that were planned for construction. Also

preformed structural foundation design and capacity analyses for; retaining walls, concrete and

timber piles, spread footings, and slabs.
