Career Experience

My responsibilities included managing the department budget and leading the innovation team of

approximately 10 engineers. I coordinated the projects from conception thru production

implementation. I was responsible for establishing the project timetable and allocating the

engineering resources. This included overseeing the release and build of initial prototypes,

controlling tooling costs, and the prototype evaluation/testing. Testing was done to a variety of

industry and OEM specifications. Review of test results and timely resolution of issues was also a

key project requirement. I have experience in writing specifications as I was a charter member of

the USCAR EWCAP group that wrote the main automotive industry performance and test

specification SAE/USCAR-2. Projects also involved the use of external suppliers so I was

responsible for coordination of the technologies and the appropriate suppliers. My most recent

development projects were involved with design of connection systems for hybrid vehicles for a

major OEM.

I have been granted 24 U.S. patents and very familiar with the intellectual property process. I am a

hands-on team oriented leader with excellent problem solving skills and creativity.
