earth stations, etc. Performed this implementation in a multi-carrier environment, which

required a strong understanding of Sprint, AT&T, MCI and other communication carriers.

1994 - 1996 Henkels & McCoy, Inc. Atlanta, Ga

On Site Design and Quality Assurance Engineer assigned to Georgia Pacific's LAN

infrastructure re-cabling project, which involved a complex physical layer design and placement

of LAN/WAN data and associated equipment. Also provided verification against design and

sign-off and interfaced with users/clients regarding status and deviation reports, as well as

providing client/subcontractor correspondence as required. The project required strict

adherence to the following standards: TIA-569, EIA/TIA-568, and newly issued EIA/TIA-568-A

(Cat.-5 cabling at 100MHz) and all designs were issued on schedule--no exceptions. Assigned

the following design tasks:

Banco La Previsora (Equador): This design included recommendation of networking

hardware (Cabletron MMAC-8), fiber optic riser system (FDDI Plus Fiber optic riser

cable) and horizontal cabling (Cat.-5, UTP).

McConnell AFB (Wichita, KS): On site survey, estimates and prices for fiber optic

backbone RFP.

ComCast of Philadelphia: Right-of-Way permits, locating and documenting all utilities

in proposed construction site.

Times Mirror Cable (CA): Re-design of CATV cable plant utilizing Lode Data, CATV

simulation software. The SOW included re-design of all amplifiers, all taps, and all

couplers.

1992 - 1994 Aerojet Corporation/ASRM Program Iuka, Ms

Network Engineer responsible for Network Design of the FDDI and 10Base-FL inter-building

connectivity, calculation of db budget losses and wiring closet design. The Mississippi Corps of

Engineers approved all designs. In addition, provided Network Administration/Monitoring which

involved trouble-shooting of NASA's ASRM network using the following tools: Cabletron's

Remote LanView for Windows, General Data Sniffers, OTDR's and TDR's. Further duties

involved Computer Technician including help desk support of Intergraph CAD workstations,

Silicon Graphics workstations, PC's and Mac computer systems all of which required installation

& configuration of NIC cards, network connectivity, IP address input and all software upgrades.
