in Process Engineering and Improvement. Experienced with the ISO 9001:2000, QS 9000, and TS 16949 Quality
standards. Processes used include: electroplating, wire drawing, rolling, injection molding, extrusion, and annealing.
Primary customers are automotive and electronics manufacturers.

Quality Team Leader - for a manufacturer of high quality steel/foam structural panels. Manufacturing processes
include: cold rolling/fabrication of steel components and extruded foam molding. Acrylic sheet was blow-molded or
vacuum formed for the production of sky-lights used in the roof components. Duties included: development and
implementation of a statistical quality control program to monitor and adjust process parameters prior to creating sub-
standard product. Other duties include: management of laboratory and Quality Assurance personnel as well as
improving testing and reporting methods. I.S.O. 9001:2000 registration scheduled for 2003.

hose reinforcing wire products. Accomplishments include:

2) Introduction of a pressure die drawing system which improved die life by over 40%
3) Management of 24 Quality, Process Engineering, and laboratory personnel.
4) Introduced the use of synthetic diamond dies to replace carbide dies in Fine Wire Drawing. Die cost
savings of over $40,000/yr. for use on one product alone.
5) Upgraded Wire Drawing and Wastewater treatment with PLC based controls and drives.

Production Manager / Process Engineer - for Quality Assurance, Nickel Plating, Wire Drawing, and Waste Water
operations for a high precision stainless steel spring wire manufacturer. This was the start-up of a new plant which
achieved profitability in two years. Accomplishments include design of the Q.C. manual, design of the operations
manual for the above listed processes and introduction of a pay-off system which not only increased pay-off capacity
at both electroplating and wire drawing, but improved machine capability at plating from 1.10mm to 0.42mm. Other
duties included management of a maintenance department where we fabricated our own repair and upgrade
equipment using standard machine tools, lathe, milling machine, drill press, etc. Responsible for up to 110 salaried
and hourly personnel.

S.P.C. Coordinator / Production Manager- for a major building wire manufacturer. Processes included: wire drawing,
extrusion, and stranding. As Production Manager, duties included design of a more efficient material tracking system,
supervision of 50 production personnel, machinery troubleshooting, and production scheduling. As S.P.C.
Coordinator, duties included creation and implementation of a statistical quality control system, which reduced scrap
ratios, improved overall product quality, and reduced material usage at equivalent productivity levels. The plant was a
unionized (IBEW) facility.
