Technical interface between factory in India and Domestic Engineering design team. Prototype motor development.

Debugging design, layout and assembly.

Development of Tooling required to manufacture motors. Defined and established assembly techniques. Develop

Manufacturing processes and defining tools and equipment required. Transfer of technology, training, and travel to

factory to establish equipment and skills required allowing manufacture of small motors offshore. Prototype motor lab

Product Manager - Kollmorgen High Volume – Custom Brushless Motor Group 1996 – 1998

Sales Customer Interface to Engineering. Responsible for translating customer requirement into Production Line

finished product. Company reorganization of the Operation Group. Primary customer interface and Sales

Managed all major International and US accounts for High Volume Group.

Startup of production line that eventually yielded close to 500,000 motors over a 30-month program. Multiple trips to

India factory to install equipment establish testing & manufacturing procedures to resolve production line issues.

Managed vendor base to improve quality of components for assembly. Including several trips to off shore factories.

Reduced rejection motors from 7% at the start up to under 4% in 2 months and then further to nearly 0.5% rejection

by end of 6-Month period.

Instrumental in securing a 6.2M$ purchase order for 18 month delivery
