Raised more than $55 million in debt/equity financing for three residential real estate development
projects totaling 1,400 home sites, four recreation centers, and an 18-hole Championship golf course.
Managing through work-out situations in economic housing downturn.
Partner/Manager/CFO that manages $140 million of real estate projects.
Types of capital raised included traditional bank financing ($35M), equity ($7.5M), hedge fund

NCSRT, INC - North Carolina
CFO / COO of a technology company that supplies downstream processing and purificat ion products
for the biopharmaceutical and food/nutrition markets.
Helped grow company from $17,100 in 03 revenues, to $1.7M in 04; to more than $6.0M 2005.
Created and implemented internal corporate procedures and policies including accounting system,
inventory system, purchasing and cost accounting procedures for a job -shop and a volume orientated
production facility.
Responsible for four term sheets, an $8M pre-money valuation, creating budgets, human resource
policies, contractual review, and other internal-office functions.
2003 – 2004
PRESTON FINANCIAL ADVISORS, LLC - North Carolina
Founded a consulting firm to assist growth companies in operational, strategic, and financial issues.
Assumed different roles including COO, CFO, Controller, and Board Advisor for several companies.
Temporary CFO for a portable mini-storage organization;
-Structured the financial and reporting controls at stores so Company could quickly open and
integrate the same financial functionality in new stores for repor ting at the Parent level;
-Standardized chart of accounts, reporting metrics, A/R policies, and other back-office
procedures that helped Company secure a $23M financing in June 2005.
Strategic Advisor-Successfully transitioned a software firm from a shrinking $500M industry to a
$5.3B market;
-Company achieved 2005 revenues to be the highest since 2001.
Hired by A.M. Pappas & Associates to “wind-down” and transition a portfolio company.
-Saved stockholders over $200,000 of additional investment and completed the transaction.

Senior Principal for a $136M technology venture capital fund. Held Board of Directors seats for two portfolio
software companies. Led technology organizations on the development and tactical implementation of their
strategic plans and in the development of their financial and exit strategies. Provided strategic, financial, and
analytical guidance to CEOs and CFOs. Participated on audit committees.
Senior Principal
Initiated and led the investment for first Fund III company to become EBITDA positive- MediaSpan.
Responsible for leading and/or advising ten companies (10) with fifteen capital raises including
$75 million in Series A-C equity raises, $28 million in various debt instruments (secured,
working capital, unsecured).
Assisted in the management and development of several portfolio companies including helping CEO,
COO, and CFOs in developing the appropriate corporate strategy for company growth.
Responsible for implementing core measurement metrics for five portfolio investments.

Performed corporate development, capital sourcing, and mergers & acquisition services for entrepreneurial
industry consolidators with $0 revenues to public and private organizations of up to $1 billion in revenues.
Designed and executed growth strategies including targeting acquisition candidates and, raising both debt and
equity capital. Specialized in buy-side and consolidation transactions in technology, medical, manufacturing,
and distribution.
Exceeded twice the amount of engagement revenues compared to budget - two consecutive years.
Assisted 5 clients in acquiring 13 companies and raising over $150 million in capital including:
Raised $4 million in equity and $20 million in a senior debt acquisition line; advised regarding
