Summary:
• 15 years of experience developing software and hardware for RF and digital test systems for major
semiconductor and cellular manufactures.
• Professional software engineer with deep understanding of object-oriented analysis and design with
extensive experience building and testing both low level and front end software using .Net, C, C++, and
Java.
• Designed and implemented dozens of robust scalable client server software and hardware solutions
while consistently staying within budget and delivering on critical requirements.
• Extensive background in project management and new product development, including recruiting,
motivating, and leading a high performance team on diverse projects
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience:
Lead Engineer, RF Micro Devices 1999-2009
Duties: Responsible for designing and maintaining hardware and software used in semiconductor
testing at both company owned and third party testing centers.
• Initiated and managed the design and development of extensible test system software that provided an
in-house IC testing solution that was less than half the cost of third party solutions.
• Led a team of engineers to design, develop, and support a multi terabyte test data collection, reporting,
and management system with over 11Gig of incoming data per day. The data stored provides
information used by various engineers and managers to drive time critical design and business decisions.
• Designed several highly reliable backend systems that provide automation across a distributed topology
to enhance the semiconductor testing process. The success and reliability of these systems has allowed
RFMD to remain competitive in the semiconductor industry.
• Developed low level driver solutions that comply with WDM and run with ring 0 privileges for USB,
serial, and SCSI bus.
Senior Engineer, Motorola 1995-1999
Duties: Responsible for designing and maintaining hardware and software used in RF and digital
testing of cellular base station components at all warranty centers worldwide.
• Developed a computer algorithm that allowed an inexpensive arbitrary waveform generator to replace
custom digital vector source saving the company the custom assembly time and $2,000 per replacement.
• Designed a universal transceiver test station capable of testing all previous and existing models of
transceivers, reducing the number of test stations required at each warranty center, eliminating bottle
necks, and reducing customer unit turn around time by more than 7 days.
• Evaluated and specified all required test equipment for warranty centers worldwide.
• Installed and served as system administrator for LAN with DOS, HPUX, Windows, Solaris, and HP
Basic clients.
• Coordinated all phases of the introduction of new repair centers and the improvements to existing repair
centers.
