• Experience in various ceramic nanofibers processes, synthesis, and characterization.
• Discovered, developed and patented a breakthrough single step electrospinning process to produce
spools of ceramic nanofibers with potential application in filtration and catalysis.
• Designed and constructed ‘rotating cylinder electrospinning apparatus’ to increase the production
rate and to align nanofibers uniaxially.
• Developed an analytical model to study and compare the performance of depth fibrous, granular and
monolith filters.
• Successfully synthesized ceramic fibrous filters containing microfibers, nanofibers and binder that
withstand temperatures ~ 1000C.
• Mentored undergraduate students in various research projects.
