Currently I am employed in the family business as an electrical apprentice in the
Aspen/Roaring Fork Valley area. My duties include running wire, installation of
receptacles, switches, and fixtures, along with trouble shooting and much more. The
current job that we are finishing is roughly 16,000 square feet.
PGA Assistant/Instructor
Cougar Canyon Golf Links (October 2007 – October 2008)
At Cougar Canyon I was one of three class “A” golf professionals that had the
opportunity to open a Jack Nicklaus design course. My duties ranged anywhere from:
instruction, merchandising, tournament operations, golf cart maintenance, director of
outside services, golf website manager, golf club repair, community events, etc…. I was
also in charge of organizing, budgeting, and instructing all junior camps. Carrying the
name “Nicklaus” carries many expectations; at Cougar Canyon we were constantly
striving for perfection.

Colorado Springs Country Club (May 2006 – November 2007)

My title at Colorado Springs Country Club was Second Assistant. This was a wonderful
learning opportunity for me. My duties included: tournament event operation,
merchandising, golf club repair, golf handicapping operations, and instruction. While I
was employed at CSCC I was fortunate enough to be on staff with Callaway Golf. I
represented Callaway for our club and sectional events.
PGA Apprentice
Sycuan Resort & Casino (June 2005 – December 2005)
Sycuan was my second internship, which lasted six months. While I was there, I was
considered an assistant and had many duties including: instruction, sales, inventory
management, tournament operations, visual displays, etc… I was also responsible for
Sycuan’s Second annual Pro-Am tournament.
PGA Apprentice/Outside Services
The Golf Club at Redlands Mesa (May 2004 – August 2004)
Redlands Mesa was my first internship through the UCCS PGM program. During my
time at Redlands I worked with Eric Feely, the head professional, now GM, to complete
my PGA level one material. My duties at Redlands Mesa included starting groups,
loading bags, washing carts, customer relations, picking range, and some assistance with
lessons.
Golf Shop employee/Cart Attendant
Deer Creek Village Golf Course (August 2002 – August 2003)
I started as a cart attendant; my duties included washing golf carts, picking range, and
trash management on the course. After six months in this position, I was promoted to a
counter employee. As a counter employee, I was responsible for sales behind the counter,
tee times, opening and closing the bank, and assisting with arranging and managing
tournaments.
