Job summary: As the Commercial Specialist I acted as the Marketing Manager & the Business Representative for all commercial entities, as well as,
the Communication Lesion regarding all relevant resort information including restaurant, retail & resort activities. I was responsible for coordinating,
activating and promoting all commercial entities in order to add value and sustainability to VAC/CC stakeholders, while improving the quality of
stakeholder and guest resort experiences. All efforts aimed to increase traffic & spending in every business at Copper.
Highlights
u Implemented & managed the first universally accepted resort gift card program including marketing for & training of merchant employees.
u Initiated all action items & lead the first Copper Community Restaurant Committee which met quarterly to encourage the collaboration of
efforts via healthy competition and Coop initiatives.
u Managed the launching of a new Chamber website; duties included: RFP & bid selection, timeline & launching strategy, creation of
homepage template & site design standards, navigation & mapping, producing & uploading content, functionality of site & features and

u Produced the first comprehensive Member Benefit Document to strengthen company vision, brand & increase stakeholder benefits.
u Produced the first all-inclusive Copper Dining Guide consisting of each restaurant’s contact information, sample menus & delivery options.
u Initiated & implemented the first Coop Advertising campaigns. ie - purchasing a local bus ad for each restaurant at the resort using the a
universal community design template & graphic standards.
Main Functions
u Established synergy by aligning the merchant community through a unification of strategy, efforts, resources and creation of brand/graphic
standards which encompassed the vibrant spirit of Copper ‘s and alldining, retail and activity options in order to increase merchant
revenue and create a ‘less complicated’ guest experience.
w The universal “look and feel” allowed for the VAC/Chamber to provide support and marketing opportunities to members &
marketing partners by: leveraging larger advertising buys, providing quality networking opportunities & a means for healthy
competition; while significantly decreasing overall marketing and design costs.
u Served as the VAC/CC portal, “one-stop-shop”, by coordinating, managing and broadcasting all of the most current, accurate & relevant
resort activity to key external segments (resort operators, independent business and homeowners, Frisco Chamber & the Copper-Frisco
Information Center), as well as, for internal community members and guests.
Creation & distribution of all collateral for each business and the resort at large such as: resort maps, the Copper Magazine, kiosks

flyers etc.; also organized content management of other media such as local TV channels and websites.
Business Support & Opportunities - Encouraged merchant to work with a high level of standards, methods and best practices
u Worked with each business to develop individualized event & promotional ideas linked to current market trends, seasonal themes, resort
occupancy & guest demographics etc.; ultimately creating lively animation at all times throughout the resort.
u Provided merchants with detailed group-relevant information to aid them in organizing and promoting their services by targeting animation
to suit the specific needs of large groups in-house.
u Ensured that each business generated promotions relevant to each Copper Signature Event, both within their establishment, as well as, by
offering merchants event food vending opportunities outside their business location; all efforts were aimed at increasing traffic & spending
by appealing to the guest demographic of each event concept.
u Worked to help businesses host & market individual events within their establishment such as: musical entertainment, raffles or incentives,
dining/retail & activity packages etc., as well as, coordinated Coop Programs for all participating merchants.
u Represented the commercial entities at all large group registrations, operation meetings and planning sessions with resort operators to
promote each entity’s specials, promotions & offers, etc.
Marketing, PR & Events
u Contributed to all large, signature events via marketing, planning, & implementation including: generating regional marketing campaigns
and initiatives, event set-up/breakdown and event recap & evaluation. Evaluation was based upon each Event’s direct impact on
merchants sales and traffic.
u Coordinate events & efforts with the County’s Marketing Committe to ensure healthy local competition by ensuring that events do not take
place on the same day within the County to maximize each Town’s event attendance.

Main Functions
u Developed an extensive 2008 Marketing Plan focusing on new efforts regionally (Front Range emphasis) & nationally while improving local
efforts to increase ticket sales. New efforts worked to transform concerts from a ‘mere classical music performance’ into a greater
“happening”, in order to attract a younger audience.
u Generated 2007 season report using measurements such as ticket sales and audience surveys in order to evaluate past efforts and plan for
2008.
u Introduced to the NRO a new concept of collaborative efforts such as: worked with Presidents of major non-profits, the Town of Breckenridge
and the Breckenridge Resort Chamber to create joined efforts such as coop advertising to add value to each entity’s individual marketing
efforts while enriching the overall “Breckenridge Experience” for all visitors, locals and second homeowners.
u Built relationships with local businesses in the service & hospitality industries to create package promotions & incentives targeted to guests.
u Worked closely with and designed collateral for, the Colorado Music Alliance, a collaborative effort consisting of Colorado’s principal music
festivals ie - the Colorado Symphony Orchestra.
u Designed and managed all aspects of the 2007 season weekly Program Books. Total of 7 program books consisting of: 56 full color pages,
including 16 pages devoted to the current and upcoming concerts/events. Provided free design services to any advertiser who lacked in
design resources. Designed all collateral: invitations, posters, brochures, flyers, program book inserts, newsletters, annual reports etc. Designed
all advertisements in advertising publications including, but not limited to: bi-weekly Summit Daily News, the Summit Magazine,
Dudick Publishing, Summit County Bike Guide and the Westword. Designed and Managed all aspects of merchandise for the 2008 season.
u Developed plan for website redesign to be completed by the 2009 season (successful). Purchased and negotiated all media buys for the
2008 NRO season via: radio, television, print and online avenues.
u Managed all aspects of advertising sales for the NRO program book and collateral pieces. Created a new plan for banner advertisement
sales on the website inorder to increase revenue and add value to advertiser. Fashioned an online business listing section of the website to
add value and hence increase the number of advertisers. This allowed for more trade opportunities; crucial to the limited budget.
u Managed online efforts from online listings to creating and managing Myspace, Facebook, blog content & travelor reviews. Key advantage
is this all allowed for relationship building with alumni, undoubtebly one of the NRO’s most valuable resources.

u Conjured the concept and managed the Slifer Designs B.E.D Party, August 2005 benefiting Habitat for Humanity. Conceptualized &
developed theme of special event and implemented all aspects from building all bed seating to collecting over $10,000 of donations locally
and nationally. Selected venue, DJ, caterer and facilitated all arrangements. Designed all event signage such as: auction boards, name
