EXPERIENCE
Alstom Transport 2005 to Present (French company. Work performed on locomotives under contract
to Burlington Northern Santa Fe at their shop in Alliance, NE.)
CBM Analyst (Condition Base Monitoring Vibration Analyst)
Vibration Analysis of Rotating Equipment using Portable Monitoring: Analyzed data for Main Generators,
Auxiliary Generators, and Turbochargers on 434 Locomotives & wrote up work orders for corrective actions.
Vibration Analysis of Reciprocating Locomotive Engines Using CSI 4500 Online: Developed and carried out
analysis of cylinder & valve train vibration on EMD diesel engines. Also worked on assessing the condition of
crankshaft main bearings using vibration.
Allied Services 2001 to 2004 (Company based in Lebanon, OH. Work performed at Cargill Corp. Beef
& Corn plants in Plainview & Dimmitt, TX.)
Predictive Maintenance Engineer
Vibration: Gathered & analyzed data on over 300 pieces of equipment & wrote up work orders for corrective
actions.
Oil: Worked with on-site lab improving testing procedures & scoping out lubrication needs & specifications.
Point Beach Nuclear Plant contracted through Onsite Engineering (Aerotek) 2000 to 2001
Two Rivers, WI
Predictive Maintenance Engineer
Vibration: Both gathered & analyzed vibration data
Oil: Gathered oil samples taken by the craftsmen, processed them through radiation control, submitted them
for analysis, analyzed results & wrote up corrective actions. Worked with craftsmen to improve sampling
techniques. Interfaced with various commercial oil labs to understand & fully utilize their capabilities for both
routine & special analysis
Thermography: Performed periodic thermographic scans of the Emergency Cooling Coils inside the reactor
containment vessel
Lockheed Martin Energy Systems, Inc. Oak Ridge, TN
DOE "Q" Clearance
Predictive Maintenance Engineer in the Y-12 Plant, Facilities Management Organization
Lead Engineer for the Oil Analysis Program
• Analyzed current conditions, determined optimum methods for developing the Oil Analysis program,
presented proposals to management, justified the equipment and manpower requirements, established the
customer base, developed reporting methods, followed up to determine reliability improvements and the
achievement of waste minimization goals on hydraulic systems, internal combustion engines, and gear
boxes
• Established a system that satisfied the stringent, regulatory shipping and analysis requirements for all oil
samples coming out of a nuclear facility
Co-Lead Engineer for the Vibration Analysis & Thermography Programs
• Performed vibration analysis on critical rotating equipment, including fans, motors, and pumps
• Performed fan balancing and troubleshooting for rotating equipment
• Performed infrared thermographic analysis of built-up roofs for moisture content to repair leaks
• Used thermographic analysis to find and diagnose problems with rotating equipment, steam system
components, and electrical connections
• Created and edited maintenance technical procedures
Maintenance Division Quality Assurance (QA) Representative
• Facilitated and participated in the preparation of Division QA Plans
• Performed and participated in various QA audits and surveillances for the division and one major audit for
the Y-12 Plant
Maintenance Division Staff Engineer, Y-12 Plant, Maintenance and Utilities Div.
• Provided Reports on Manpower Levels, Work Control Delay, Work Control Center Performance
Capital Projects Engineer, Y-12 Maintenance Division
• Tracked costs and facilitated progress of Y-12 Maintenance Capital Projects to eliminate cost overruns and
ensure milestones and completion dates were met
Gaseous Centrifuge Facility Engineer, Separation Systems Division
• Maintained utilities and productions systems reliability for a 72,000 square foot centrifuge assembly,
balancing, and testing facility
