Tissue Maintenance Manager, Albany Plant (1992 – 1995)
Department maintenance leader responsible for two paper machines and 9 converting lines achieving
papermaking uptime >96%. Maintenance Department consisted of 41 direct reports.
Following a catastrophic flood that crippled the city of Albany (July 1994), initiated and orchestrated a
corporate response to repair damaged city waste water system that saved >5 days of plant downtime and
created a great deal of good will with the city government.
Senior Reliability Engineer, Flint River Plant (1990 – 1992)
Acted as division resource supporting 4 large pulp and paper mills in maintenance and reliability. Managed all
aspects of division's Computerized Maintenance Management System including Storeroom, Purchasing, and
Invoice Approval systems. Plant set reliability and production records each year.
Pulping Maintenance Manager, Flint River Plant (1988 – 1990)
Area maintenance manager and mill leader for CMMS directing all areas of pulping maintenance.
Responsibilities included leading mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation resources. Managed $6.0
million annual maintenance budget. Extensive experience in shutdown planning and coordination improving
both cost and schedule by 20%.
Production Coordinator, Flint River Plant (1986 – 1988)
Managed plant-wide shift production and quality results. Coordinated production rates and orchestrated
response to off-quality, unplanned maintenance downtimes, and EHS disaster drills. Acted as plant wide
leader on rotating 12 hour shifts. Developed and demonstrated high pressure decision making skills. Led
planning and coordination of plant shutdown implementing innovations that saved $400 thousand.
