Design, write, test and debug PL/SQL stored packages, procedures and functions,

Design, write, document, train and implement military training software for capturing and

maintaining medical training records.

Designed and implemented a ColdFusion MX 8 application for searching XML based

medical transcriptions using search criteria that returned matched records for data

containing potential cancer patients. Used the Verity K2 search engine against the

medical transcriptions collection. This automated a function that was previously done

manually by looking through printed and digital reports, a lengthy and error prone

process.

Reworked and enhanced an existing APEX 2.0 medical records system. I split the system

into two parts to allow more control and reporting capability to the distinct Medical

Release and Medical Disclosure HIPAA data.

Designed and implemented a medical appointment scheduling and tracking system for

the Vascular Surgery Center. The system was written using the Oracle APEX language.

Designed and implemented a Bariatric Surgery software to track patient visits for weight

loss, body mass index and fluid removal and fluid fill for lap band surgery. The system

was written using the Oracle APEX language.

Designed and implemented Windows Scripting Host program using the SOAP 3.0 toolkit

to connect to a vendor Web Service and request medical dictations using various

parameters configurations. Received and processed the dictations into Eglin server.

W rote PERL 5,8 programs to extract, transform and load data from XML format into

delimited file format using extensive regular expressions. Designed and implemented

ASP .Net programs to insert medical dictations into an Oracle database using PL/SQL

stored procedures.

Design, write, test and debug modifications to the U. S. Air Force Medical Web Omnibus

Systems. This is a ColdFusion MX 7 system that uses extensive ColdFusion

components (cfc) and the ORACLE 10g RDBMS. Platform: Sun Solaris 10 UNIX OS,

and Windows XP Professional. Use Dreamweaver 8 and SQL Developer as IDE.

Designed, developed and tested PL/SQL procedure that reduced the previous embedded

SQL statement from 38 seconds down to 1.5 seconds. I also designed and implemented

a PL/SQL package that replaces an embedded SQL statement that times out on long

queries (1 hour 20 minutes). The replacement query runs in 5 minutes and 15 seconds

with correct results. I have experimented successfully with BULK LOADS and

VARRAYS. I held an Industry (Contractor) 3RTH3-I, DoD Secret clearance on this job.

I returned to my home in the Pensacola area after the U.S. Air Force converted all of its

computer programmers to other career fields. This extended the contract from one year

to a five year contract. I left since five years was to long a period to be away from my

home in Pensacola, Florida.

This software increased the usable communication transaction load by over 220 percent

from the previous TP monitor's transaction rate.

Performed extensive testing of the TP monitor to ensure correct handling of each

connectivity with the IBM TP monitor to ensure all transactions were handled properly

and within the strict time limits required by our real-time warehouse control system.

software. Built and installed RS-232C cable and connectors from Tandem VLX 6100

CSS to cluster controllers,repeaters, workstations and printers thru-out an extremely

large (23 acres) warehouse building. Installed workstations for packing, receiving,

shipping and management. These were Microsoft MS-DOS and SCO Unix WS.

Helped design and write implementation plan for all hardware and software to include

communication equipment for the Defense Distribution System (DDS) at Sharpe and

Tracy depots.
