- Developed, authored and led efforts in implementing a HACCP plan to allow the company to get into

Represented company in dealings with USDA in gaining agency approval, and all further activities with the

directing up to 50 union production employees to meet or exceed standards in all areas of food manufacturing including
sanitation and safety (Department Safety Coordinator), implementation and evaluation of operator training program, development
of HACCP program.
Accomplishments included:
- Development and implementation of a technician based Preventative Maintenance program.
- Leading a self-directed team effort within a union facility.
- Exceeding 90% production efficiency runs times on the refrigerated pudding lines.
- Establishing effective processing parameters, reducing viscosity related holds, and maximizing batches and
yields.

Plant Manager: Reported to the President. Responsibilities were focused around project management activities needed to
design, equip, and construct a facility to produce aseptic products. Scope of responsibilities included: coordinating and
analyzing engineering plans, procurement of all process equipment and instrumentation, scheduling contractor and construction
activities, leading efforts with the National Food Laboratory to submit a filing to the FDA for an aseptic system, structuring plant
automated control (PLC) based system, sanitation and clean-in-place (CIP) circuits design, purchasing major components for all
plant utilities.
Accomplishments included:
- Successful filing of the aseptic operation with the FDA.
- Successful implementation of the CIP and PLC systems.

Plant Manager (Production Manager): Reported to the Vice President of Operations. Directed the Hershey Snack Pack
pudding operation. Responsibilities included: direct supervision of 4 supervisors and 40 plant production employees to meet or
exceed standards in all areas of food manufacturing and compliance with Hershey mandated specifications and requirements.
Accomplishments included:
- Defined, coached, and established guidelines for shift supervisors to utilize to make timely production
decisions.
- Improved sanitation scores to consistently score above 97%, well above the mandated 90% required by
Hershey.
