Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is David Dean and I have 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience working for MerCruiser / Mercury Marine, the industry leader in production of inboard marine engines and sterndrives. During this time I have enjoyed a progressively responsible engineering career that has allowed me to apply myself both technically and professionally. These experiences have helped me to develop valuable interpersonal skills that are necessary when managing projects through to their completion.
I have also had significant experience with:
• The Identification of cost reduction opportunities and the application of Lean Six Sigma principles
• The design and manufacture of equipment and fixtures using 2-D & 3-D CAD software
• Process Control and Instrumentation of natural gas fired burners and aluminum melting equipment
• Cost justification and the writing of appropriation requests
I have received several outstanding evaluations on the yearly review of my performance along with commendations from the hourly workforce on my ability and willingness to help address issues they have identified. I believe instances such as these speak to my strong hard working, work ethic and that I would be a valuable asset to your company. Please feel free to contact me at 918-***-**** or via email **********@*****.*** to arrange a meeting. I look forward to speaking with you!
Respectfully,
David Dean
