LeanSigma Consultant, OREGON MFG. EXTENSION PARTNERSHIP and SYSOPS 2004 – Present

Responsible for leading LeanSigma and other consulting engagements to help manufacturing companies

succeed by solving operational challenges to deliver products and services on time, respond more effectively to

individual customer requests, improve quality, and lower costs.

• Conducted over 30 projects with multiple industrial firms implementing Lean transitions, Six Sigma, ERP

systems, and incorporating other best practice techniques.

• Clients reported, per an independent survey, that the above projects helped them increase sales $21.5M,

save $2.6M in operating costs, invest $3.7M on business expansion, and create or retain 140 jobs.

Responsible for leading and implementing plant-wide improvement initiatives using Demand Flow, Total Quality

Management, Theory of Constraints, ERP systems and other manufacturing best practices. Efforts spanned

multiple product lines and work centers within the three companies.

• Reduced process cycle times from weeks to days, improved labor productivity by 30-50%, reduced

inventory levels by 50-90%, reduced manufacturing space by 25-50%, and reduced set up times by 67%.

• Conducted multiple initiatives at all three locations utilizing statistical quality techniques including DOE,

regression analysis, control charts, etc. These efforts combined with Total Quality Management problem

solving tools and PokaYoke resulted in reducing customer complaints by 40% while reducing scrap by 37%.

• Plant Project Administrator for “Global Applications Migration Project” at (3M/Imation) replacing 3M

corporate IT systems with Oracle ERP and other integrated applications. This was the largest IT transition

to date in history involving several plants around the world. Successfully converted to the new systems

saving millions in support fees.
